My Ctek charges the van battery from the solar when the leisure battery is full. Couldn't you swap the wiring round on your b2b so it charges the van battery from your solar.
I did the same on my Motorhome a few years back. It works a treat. There's no way memory functions of your gadgets in front use that much current. You have a drain and need to find it.
I thought you where going to Mow the NHS logo into the field, or are you starting the 9 hole golf course already? 😂😂
Hi ash hope all is well if you get the bigger van would you need to do you 7.5tone licence
Never felt as relaxed watching grass get cut as I did then 😂 grass cutting sunsets? This channel just won’t stop giving 🤣 👍👌🏻✌️
My thought exactly! Suddenly I wanted my own field, a sit on mower and a wonderful sunset. That would keep me going for the remainder of lockdown😄
Morning Ash while you were on the sit on lawn mower it would have been good to have done NHS into the field keep up the good work mate love the videos and you 3 stay safe all the best from Martin Aka Big Nish.
I'm going to ask a really stupid question now and I'll probably getting moaned at for it but do you have the right licence for the heavier van? IE the C1 entitlement
Sounds like you and I want to buy similar vans :) I want to get the 5 tonner too, just my shape van :)
the friend who is letting you stay there is one hell go a guy... top man
I've found that the Iveco Daily II wiring to ECU & ABS ECU draws nearly an amp continually when everything is swirched off. That is normal and stated in the service manual, so your 1A panel should keep the battery up OK.
Can you add the solar panel on your amazon parts list please Ash, I'll get one for the Alero.
I'd be interested in this for my van as well (it's not getting driven during lockdown). Was going to spend a small fortune doing it but if I can sort the problem for 40 quid that'd be a result.
the 30w version isn't available now (typical) but ive found a 20w for similar price and thats now listed under "integral items". If just using it to maintain your starter battery 20w will be all good
@@LostInEurope, ta.
Great video again ash, question why are you cutting the landing strip, are you expecting a plane to land soon, lol when you do some filming include marie we don't see much of her daly activity's and considering you two are an item it would be nice to see, just a thought, stay safe
Weird I just installed that exact same solar controller in my shed! Phone charging and a little bulb hooked up. Simple.
I have the issue with the lawn mower solenoid on mine, usually low battery even though it seems healthy.
Hello Ash, any chance of a link to music you finish this vlog too please ? I know you've used it before but I can't see a credit to who it is, thanks mate 👍🏻

That’s freaky, I’ve just fitted the same to my van to keep the battery topped up during my self build!!
never get tired of that song
Top updates cheers
Funnily enough I had the same thought, and fitted the same system at the start of the lockdown 👍
Could you post the Amazon link for the panel please Ash?
I like what you are doing
Really hope you go ahead with a new van build Ash, go sprinter 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Hey Ash loving the vids gd to see your doing ok as well as Marie and Bob. Can you say to CJ enjoying his too cheers

The solar panel is a better option as if you have leasure/deep cycle batteries there not designed to give a high current output that an engine needs to start where a car/van battery is designed to do that.
Atb Steve
The easy solution especially in the summer when the deep cycles are full to the brim every day is simply bypass the split charge relay so the van battery is connected to the solar setup It already has thick cable and fused. OK the battery voltage profile may not be perfect but much better than a flat battery. When cranking 90% of the current will be taken from the van battery anyway as its closest to the starter. Im halfway thru my van build and had the same problem not moving anywhere so for now i dont have a relay installed the battery banks are basically direct linked as i got 550 Watts of solar on the roof.
Whats the track at the end? Sounds like m83
Is it safe to run the engine when these small boosters are connected.
I dont see why not, it's no different to having the solar on the roof connected 👍🏻
@@LostInEurope Thank you so much from a wiser 78 yr old camper and listen mate, keep your chin up .
as always great vid !
Always a good watch!
So Ash, are now prepping the field ready to plant some vegetables ? 😜
Cant believe you tuck the plastic cover off on the solar monitor also you should have mowed camp amboleast in the field
What was the shape for that you mowed in the field??
the end of the video spot on mate
Is it not possible to up-plate your existing van to 3900 kgs which should just about take the bike? There are companies out there that can advise and do the paperwork. SVTech is one.
Andy Pugh i thought this! A lot of work to swap everything and sad to see that one get scrapped!
As italian i like to’ Say....get , some nice musis.....WELVET REVOLVER.....
Could you just mount the solar panel to the roof (if there's space) and have it wired up permanently. It'd mean you wouldn't have to worry about setting it up everytime.
nice one enjoy
Why don't you just update your Springs.... can you do that
CROP CIRCLE!!!!!
