I am going to make the snorkel buy cutting off the end of the air intake where the end cap snaps over and use fernco rubber couplings and run the 2 inch PVC so that a Unifilter 2 pod can be used as a Prefilter for the Factory Air filter.
I am concerned about Riding in Dusty conditions and dont want to check the Factory In box filter daily .
I think that by using a snorkel will get the Air intake higher up away from the rear wheels and provide better and cleaner air for the air intake and with the Unifilter used as a pre filter it eill be very easy to check if it is clean or not.
If it is clean fine and if it is dirty then just loosen the clamp and put a new one in.
Then when I get home clean the dirty one .
I intend on buying at least 2 and Maybe 3 of the unilter's so I will always have at least 1 or 2 that will be clean.
I have a question for you
I see that Unifilter has both a 4 inch long unifilter and a six inch long Unifilter with about the same ID .
do you think that the 5 inch long version would provide more and cleaner air than the 4 inch version or would the 6 inch version merely constrict air flow more ?

I have always ran my crank case vent to the top of my snorkel. Is That overkill?

Running up the crankcase breather is fine, but I recommend putting a little filter on the end of it. It sits up against the air filter so that it has some kind of a screen
