A generation knew Mobb Deep after the Eminem movie came out when they heard the beat in the rap battle. I feel proud to have lived through the 80s and 90s, the best era of music when hip hop was street.

"I'm only 19, but my mind is old". Somehow, the whole album evokes this feel. You've got to have a lot of dark inner thoughts in order to make an album this dark at such young age. The other example that I can think of is Spiderland by Slint.

I´m listening to their beats from childhood and for me, they are the best rappers out there, after all those years, they still got it. I hope, one day in a near future, my dreams come true and I will get a chance to see their live performance somewhere in Europe.
