They weren't. They were telling a historical account of a public zoo that caused a great deal of outrage and discussion about our nature and our place amongst our fellow living entities by advertising
( THE MOST DANGEROUS ANIMAL) as an attraction that they charged people to see. It was meant as a political statement about nuclear weapons and the treatment of animals wasn't just about how dangerous or damaging humans are it was also a comment on our nature because the zoo was having a hard time funding itself with educational, animal healthy exhibits because people wanted to see
"DANGEROUS " animals and watch them attacking eachother, killing and consuming the dead animals as well as being able to shoot, kill the animals...at the time many zoos and circuses were making money by charging for a stone that you could throw at the tiger, bear, etc and charging to watch them "feed" ..they'd throw old horses and dogs, cats etc into the cages after the exhibit animals had been without food for a few days. Just all kinds of horrible stuff and people DON'T like being face to face with some of our less admirable qualities. They advised THE MOST DANGEROUS ANIMAL and showed them a mirror. I studied this in Quantico while active in the Corps. People sued saying it was theft and advertising fraud. It was just one of a LOT of similar incidents that did cause outrage and indignation...however it also brought about a public discussion regarding the welfare and morality of the animals and their treatment etc which contributed to many of the laws we think of as common sense and obvious these days.

Well there was also a young black child who was indeed an exhibit at a zoo in one of the Nordic countries, can't remember which one exactly, maybe Sweden? Anyway, they put this young black child from Africa on display, and zoo visitors could even "feed" the black child, by throwing peanuts and bananas at him 😑
I wish I was joking here, but that's the absolute truth, and it's easy to verify by googling it... Humans are indeed the very worst animals on the planet, and the earth would be a much better place without our existence, even though I'm quite aware that humans have and continue to also do great things as well as awful things, and it's really just a handful of assholes who make the earth such a shitty place in some parts of the world, but the fact that the rest of us allow such suffering to take place, and we just go about our lives because such things don't directly affect us, well, we're really not that much better than the ones who cause the suffering, are we?
