Tried these yesterday as a tea time snack! Oh my god, my mom loved it so much!! And if anyone is looking for the perfect bolinas recipe this is the one! Looking forward for more such baking recipes!❤❤❤❤😋

Florency, I tried it today and turned out great like never before. I loved your presentation especially the music in this video. Thank you for sharing. Have to try all your sweets to get ready for Xmas. Take care and stay safe.
Hi Florency, tried your recipe today. These are my favourites from Goa. I made them with apprehensions of how would the sugar melt, and if the dough was too sticky.. but it turned out perfect in taste and texture. However, it took 45 mins in my oven. Thanks for the wonderful recipe. ❤️
Wow! I see you have a lot of goan supporters. Wonderful. Bolinhas look superb. My motherinlaw use to make them. Thanks for sharing. Definitely not waiting for Christmas. Making them this weekend. God bless 🙏🌹
Thank you, Maria! So excited reading your feedback ✨ Thank you for this response :) I wish you and your family a merry Christmas; God bless you with the warmth and joy of this season and health & prosperity for the coming year 💫
Madam I tried Your Receipe it turned a little sticky at first but they turned out to be nice later. Thanks for sharing Your Receipe. HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND HAPPY NEW YEAR 2022.
Your recipe and your detailed quick points made my day And gave me a hope to try them, this Christmas. This will be the first time I'm trying to make this recipe to happen Wish me luck
Although the activities of this Christmas week have delayed my response, the excitement of this message is still thrilling! I hope you enjoy every cooking adventure, Sheron ✨ Thank you for such warm appreciation 💫
Florency l tried ur bolinhas their were excellent, everyone enjoyed them. My dear plz help me out, l made one big mistake, they were tasty, but l didn't get that beautiful colour, they were more of white. I want to make them tomorrow for my sister, so help me to get that brownish colour okay n thanks in advance
Hello Fatima! I'm so glad that you tried this recipe :) Next time, to bring about the colour you could try grilling the bolinhas for a minute or two, but be careful to not overdo it- they could get too dark. To be safe, grill on the middle rack (not too close to the grilling rods). Keep up your baking, Fatima! God bless ✨
Madam if the batter remains sticky after keeping 6 hrs in fridge how long we have to keep in the fridge AGAIN to be firm. THANKS IN ADVANCE. God Bless You and Your Career.
Madam Thank You for sharing this excellent receipe. Madam I have weighed I cup of semolina as 170 gr and 1/4 cup as 40 gr how do I take it as 210 gr or 250 gms.
@@FlorencyDias Thanks Madam. Madam what if we mix the yolks with rava and count and then add the beaten white of the eggs. Can that be done. Thank You in advance
Hello, Cassie💫 I use the egg whites since I skip the baking powder. The yolks help hold the ingredients, the whites, well-beaten, help them cookies rise✨
So glad to hear this, Rosalie, thank you!💫 Yes, you can use dessicated coconut ground with little water/milk (about half a cup). A very happy new year to you ✨
Thank you for sharing this Bolinhas recipe. Can you reply, if i want to bake more bolinhas from the same batter, can i refrigerate the bolinhas b4 baking when the 1st batch is still baking and 2ndly for the 2nd batch to bake, should i wait for the otg to cool and preheat it again
After refrigerating the dough became very sticky and was little liquids at the side and when put to bake insted of rising it became flat and got burnt down making some very hard to remove from butter papper. Please help me understand why and what can be done
Hi, Eula:) These bolinhas are quite soft, only with a crust that is comparatively hard. Adding more butter may not help, but make it ooze oils while baking. Hope this helps✨
For bolinhas, 6 hours refrigeration is sufficient. This is not to ferment the dough, only to stiffen it so that it's easy to shape into required form. Thanks for your interest in my recipes, Vanita ✨
Thank you dera flory bai. being myself Goan hindu wanted to learn authentic Goan catholic Portuguese recipe s . I have seen noted your way of cooking is very authentic . Planning to prepare bolinhnaha ans bebinca . Will give my feed back soon 👍
No Diana, that is someone else. This is the only one that I run. She had used some of my daughter Tabitha's instrumentals in her videos which is why I think you thought so :)
I tried this recipe today. But when I put the bolinas for baking at 180°C., the Bolinas became flat. P.S I used the exact measurements Kindly let me know what might have gone wrong. Thank you
Yes, Benny, it will be dry, but since the initial dough (before refrigeration) is sticky and wet, the dessicated coconut may soak that and bring stability eventually. But, yes, there's a possibility of it turning comparatively hard. Grinding with milk (not too much) will give richer bolinhas. Hope this helps ✨
@@FlorencyDias , thank you for taking the time to answer my query. I did use a little bit of milk just to give moisture to the coconut (did not grind) and they did turn more white and hardly browned on the top (bottom was nice and brown). On another note, they were nice and crunchy on the outside and soft inside and I was happy except that I wished they were more brown. But after I stored them in an air-tight container, the next day they were not crunchy but more like sticky outside (I have experienced this in the past when I kept in the fridge, but this time I kept out on the counter), wonder why it happened so, do reply when you have the time.
Hello, Benny :) I came by this quite late, my apologies. Thrilled to read that you tried it, and 2 problems you've encountered - less browning and going soft- seem related; one leading to the other. Since the top didn't brown enough, it allowed for the seepage of moisture to soften it. If your oven is an OTG, grilling the bolinhas (top heating element) for a minute or two may give it more colour and ensure a longer, crisp exterior. But pay careful attention to not burn them at this stage because they brown very quickly when grilled. Hope this helps, Ben💫
