They are not exactly the same because they stain drumheads in short order, breakdown incredibly fast by comparison, and they get gross as hell p easily. The more you take them off the weirder they get, I’m not gonna pack my drums w the gels because I’m not a monster lol, and it wouldn’t matter if I did because I’m changing the amount of muffling on my drums all the time, sometimes none, sometimes a lot, depends on the room and gig. So yeah, there’s a good reason to spend a little more and maybe just don’t lose them all the time
Ours didn't stain the drum + they were 0,06€ a piece. They do get gross real quick, but so do moongels (we have a pack of these at the studio that nobody dares to touch with bare hands at this point lol), so for this price we're willing to accept the drawbacks. But ofc whatever suits you 😉
I have just tried cleaning one of the sticky hands and now that it's dry it's normal, just like before. Probably it depends on the sticky hands you got.
Haha, no they don't! I'm also a guitarist, so I'll try to help. The first hit has some resonance that can get nasty and uncontrollable, especially in a recording. The second hit sounds dry and controlled, it's the equivalent of palm muting for guitarists. Pay attention to the decay, rather than the attack. Like you would be listening to a reverb tail, or the amount of repeas of a delay. You'll hear it for sure!
Every second video from USA creators gives prices in USD and I don't see any of these comments. It's to be expected an Austrian company gives prices in their local currency, which in this case is the EUR, used in the whole Eurozone, currently already joined by no less than 20 countries (a few more are transitioning), and 6 more non-member states also adopted the EUR as their currency. So it's no fancy or weird currency, it's a quite widespread and well-known one.
If you can't tell the differens between 13 and 2, that's a /you/ problem. As stated above, lots of countries use the Euro and even though mine don't I can convert it in my head. Besides it's almost 1:1 with the American Dollar so even an average American should know how much a Euro is.
I feel like that would be a lot of fun for high school marching bands 😂😂
And they look better, too. Or at the very least, more fun.
💯

@@LEWITT-audio have you tried cleaning the sticky hands? They don’t usually stand up to it. Moongels do clean well with soap

@@LEWITT-audio right, there’s a QC issue here.
Great tip! Phew I nearly bought moon gels … So now I use both sticky hands and handy sticks on my drums 😬👊🏻
Sticky hands are great for dampening snares and getting the attention of distracted bandmates 😂
Can’t you use earth gels our resources are precious here on luna
Me, a giitarist, hearing the exact same sound 😮
