LYRICS
Ya ask why I can’t tell you things
What’s been weighin’ on me lately
Somethin’ about this changed
Was it me
Was it you
Ya know I can’t say
We’re headin’ two different ways
The silence it tells me things
Like the truth
We rode a wave up ‘n’ down
Throwin’ me all around
Thinkin’ we’d hit the ground
Well you will
On our way to nowhere fast
Off the overpass
Looks like hell
Makin’ big mistakes
Led us to a place
Looks like hell
If I’m bein’ honest
You’re safe in the moment
But lost in the open
I know you too well
The only way out is through ourselves
And it looks like hell
How did it get this way
On the surface it seems ok
But there’s energy underneath
That I feel
Remember when we last spoke
Your eyes said what you don’t
That whatever in this broke
We can’t fix
Either under or over it
Somethin’ I’ll never get
Where was the disconnect
We couldn’t weld
On our way to nowhere fast
Off the overpass
Looks like hell
Makin’ big mistakes
Led us to a place
Looks like hell
If I’m bein’ honest
You’re safe in the moment
But lost in the open
I know you too well
The only way out is through ourselves
And it looks like hell
The destination I saw clearly
Was farther than you planned
Just a means to an end
On our way to nowhere fast
Off the overpass
Looks like hell
Makin’ big mistakes
Led us to a place
Looks like hell
If I’m bein’ honest
You’re safe in the moment
But lost in the open
I know you too well
The only way out is through ourselves
And it looks like hell
It looks like hell

Ok I am strangely addicted to this one. Wouldn't have expected it, but it's just so good. Love the southern sound to the guitar in the chorus.
Same. I don’t like this album and I mean I reeeeally don’t. But this. This brings a smile to my face
Some of these songs, you just have to admit they're good, even though they ain't heavy
Definitely one of my favorites off this album. The piano and progression to the melodies is strangely cool to me.
Me too
I´ve been a ADTR Fan since 10 years now. And I know exactly what everyone means regarding the new "Style". BUT I listen to the new Album and it makes me feel something I never felt listening to ADTR. I have to say I really dig the new Style even if I miss the good old "Disrespect your Surroundings" - Vibe. They relly made a Piece of Art here. Thank you ADTR for keeping us enterntained for so long. Nothing but Love
It makes me feel something different as well. Nauseous.
Dude. What. You're delusional.
@@Nanokeeps If you say so
@@Nanokeeps Calm down.
@@LurajerLP I agree with you on this. I love this Album as much as the others.
This is one of my favs I like the melodies
This song absolutely SLAPS
I kind of like the melodramatic vibe of this one, definitely my favorite "soft song" on the album other than mind reader.
They're almost all soft lol
I like slow songs like this
@@tylermcmillan8282 well so was common courtesy...
@@Christopher-D common courtesy had a great mix of heavy and soft songs. The mixture and variety that ADTR puts into their albums is what makes them so great. But its just missing in this one. This album is catchy radio hook after catchy radio hook
This really isn't that soft
Yes! This is a Day to Remember that i like! The proof that a song doesn’t need to be heavy to be good. Definitely one of my fav from the new album
0:56 If I'm bein' honest, you're safe in the moment
But lost in the open, I know you too well
ADTR is truly an amazing band. What I love about them aside from their epic music that's so easy for the fan to resonate with is that the members are down to earth and never let themselves forget where they came from. They held onto who they were while embracing their fame.
The cowboy guitar is top notch.
Thank you! I was saying it has a cowboy guitar twang in there just seems so unique.
@@bradgrigsby1653 it’s definitely in there. Super westerny influence in tone and note choice.
Get this song on the radio stat. This song is the perfect song for the angst that people go through. Looks Like Hell deserves to be heard by the whole planet.
That “I know you too well “ part gives me goosebumps 🔥🔥
Great song! Like the new direction of this album.
This album is amazing for walking 🤍 such good vibes
I like that western sounding hawii five o guitar riff.
This one stuck out the most to me on this album, probably because ive been listening to linkin park recently lol.
Lol same
Wow every ADTR SONGS CHORUS IS VERY CATCHY. LOVE THIS ❤️
The piano melody is giving me major Linkin Park vibes. Think “What I’ve Done”, “Numb” and “In The End”.
My first thought at the beginning of the song was “In the End”
Plus the song then sounda like Breaking the Habit.
reminds me of the cod zombies theme lol
I'm getting Skillet vibes
Dextor
All the songs on this album are good.
This song is "trap beatz out on the open range, wild west circa the 1860's" vibes and I'm here for it. Imho I think this album is great. Just enough all over the place, clever word play (as always), and growth musically.
I agree, the band said they experimented with this album and it's creative and different. I'm not mad at it, while I do like the older shit more, I can see and appreciate what they're doing here. They've been around a long time, it's tough making music these days when everything's been done 100 different ways. It's a good album lol
@@tylerpppp1029 in a kerrang interview JM talked about how KS puts together their setlists and that's how he approached the order of this album too. I dig it
Yeah, it's crazy that they've been around about 17 years now I believe. Man time is flying and I'm getting old.
Just listened the whole album a few times so far and at first i was dissapointed. But i kept listening to it and now it seems i just can't hate the music these guys make. It's still ADTR and i appreciate their music too much to hate it.
On my third or fourth listen in a row with this song. IDK what people are on about, this new sound slaps. I took my husband to see them in October '23 for his first time (my 7th? 8th?)... so good live as always delivering killer set ups and getting the crowd moving. 🤘
You have my heart, and we'll never be worlds apart
Maybe in magazines, but you'll still be my star.... Oh sorry, wrong song.
One of the best on the this album love it
Oh this one I def fuck wit. My kinda vibe dude
The best song from album for me!
You never disappoint! 😎🤘🏻
They did, with this trash heap of an album XD
@@OhCapitainIAmSinking the truth has been spoken, it's not bad... But it's not ADTR... By any means... I get evolving and trying new things but like half the songs on his album should have been like Resentment or Last Chance To Dance
A Day to Remember+Linkin Park=A Day in The Park
Lmao!
Omfg i fucking love that
Listen I love ADTR forever this the weakest album so far but this song is not bad it’s the not the best but it would say it sounds a lot like all time low and the beginning it reminds me of Summer of love By U2
As an OG fan, i fully respect every album they put out. they all hit different. and with each album they make, they seem to be catered to me and my feelings . I just lost my grandma to cancer and this album came out.. it just hits different. and when i first heard homesick i was going through therapy and i didnt feel alone. ADTR will always make people feel a day to remember.
I get a lot of Paranoid by I Prevail in the intro, but the groove of the rest of the song is pretty different. Really fucking cool vibes tho, easily one of my favorites of the album
That’s what it was thank you it was bugging me
Love I Prevail
Good album if you ask me.. love that they also added a couple of heavy tracks. You know they did that for the old fans.. and they’re good. Really digging this one tho
Another banger of ADTR doing what they want.
Son mi banda preferida y esta brutal esta canción los quiero, saludos desde Colombia 🇨🇴
I'm digging this one. That makes 5 so far as I'm halfway through the album
I’m about half and half on it
One of the best songs off this album. So fucking catchy with the piano
Sounds like A Day To Remember to me 🖤 love it keep it up boys!! 🤘
You must be new here then.
Go listen to Homesick and For Those Who Have Heart, then come back and try agin :)
@@OhCapitainIAmSinking sound a bit pretentious
@@OhCapitainIAmSinking sorry bud can’t define a band by the songs you prefer.
uma das melhores do álbum, entendo quem não gosta mas eu sei apreciar cada fase do adtr e essa música é pura perfeição
Damn. As an og fan, I’m ok with them branching out and I really, really actually like this. Amazing artists.
Its a shame the whole album isnt like this or last chance to dance.
LOOKING AT YOU EVERYTHING WE NEED
same, this is super different from the previous albums but i really like it still
Hmmm was expecting this one to be heavy based on the title
Yikes
Think The same with "Bloodsucker"
Same dude
(Rick Ashley walks in)
yep. Total clickbait
This song is going to BUMP live.
best song for this album ( my opponinon )
So far Last chance to dance, bloodsucker and this song are my favorite. Their album For Those Who Have a heart will forever be my favorite album tho
Love this song ❤
This is the best “soft” song on the album. Vibed with it for sure
there are NOT soft songs on the album?
@@Dobro-gq8iq last chance to dance maybe but depends what you call "soft"
This song is sick, loved it
Not a bad song, just trying to find ADTR in it......weird album so far. I miss the Common Courtesy days. Such a master piece that album was.
Yes- cast your stones, cast your judgement, you don’t make me who I am, tatt from that album ❤️
People felt the same way when common courtesy came out. Same thing will happen when the next album comes out
@@jaygarcia6079 I’ve hated every album since homesick. But I love every album lol they were made for us, we weren’t made for them.
It was, but in my opinion the true ADTR essence started in For those who have heart and reached its peak in What Seperates me from You and then it slowly went down. I was actually surprised how Bad Vibes turned out because I expected this to be Bad Vibes but I guess they were like: "Lets give fans last good album before we start this mainstream shit."
@@jaygarcia6079 yeah for sure. It’s definitely not a bad album. Just feels slightly overproduced. Kind of like a Fall Out Boy album. lol
Heh, I was just thinking "I wonder when ADTR is gonna release something new" and then I see this released 2 mins ago
Their whole new album just released, if u didn't know it😁
@@christianhackl474 I did after making this comment lol, I was like "oh nice, oh wait.. oh wait!"
@@MetalDragon_CSY love this
All these peeps in the comments saying they don't like the new sound but I'm just jamming out, these are bops
Well this is seriously really good!
This song hits different every damn time. Something about the soft to casual "chaos", especially in the last chorus, gives me chills.
Definitely one of their better ones on the album.
yes... yes it does
Always support my Favourite band! Go go!
Same here.
Love all their shit!!! From screaming breaking shit down like I'm made of wax Larry, what are you made of, to this song right here. I love the change of pace. Ppl don't understand being a musician I guess( that aren't musicians mind you, mainly). It's fucking hard lol to keep the same sound you had for three 4 albums and then to not, first off, sound like you're just repeating the same song over and over and second, we get old ppl!! Try playing even an hr concert with the excertion this band does. Time for a change of pace and this album is one of their greatest. Just like metallica did right? All hard metal, punk, rock up until black album and that was one of their best selling albums ever!! And they just came out with a box set for that album. Lol. Expand horizons ppl. 2022.
The hook in the beginning sounds very similar to another song but I can't put my finger on it.
I LOVE the Johnny Cash type riff. Cowboy vibes.
I like the beat, this is cool.
This reminds me of 'Lie Lie Lie' by Serj Tankian.
You're crazy
This song is lowkey awsome
Essa banda e FOOOODAAAA!!!🤬🤬🤬🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awesome album my favorite band and always will b keep up the good music
I dig this 😁😁💛🤜🤛
I'm losing my mind guys, I love this band so much!! ;v;
Ok, i like this one
I know I’m not too far in but this album is fantastic!!!!
Why is this song so underrated????
Fav
Piano melody sounds like COD Zombies.
Where the fuck do you think they came up with it from?
underrated
is it just me, or does this song sound like it belongs in a zombie movie soundtrack?
Personally loved this one.
Really cool song actually
I like this song (gives me some major Hello Hurricane era Switchfoot vibes), but it isn't really what ADTR have built their brand around. Having said that, much better than most of the rest of the album.
Tryna get those radio plays
I really enjoy this song. Seems like mixing a Breaking Benjamin and an ADTR styles to get this
My thoughts exactly
we're not the same. we're constantly in change. Different album, same band and same way to make us feel like something, deep inside is cool, even in the darkest days
pls put up a lyric vid for this
This album is fucking great. I'm honestly blown away that so many people are crying about it.
I agree. A couple softer songs but overall great stuff.
Wow this album is different
Everytime i play this song, grows on me.
Was this Jeremy’s Solo project album debut? Kinda sounds like shit but hey solo gig that’s cool! That means more money for Jeremy, right? Hmm 🤔 dope...
lol there are real guitars, bass, and drums all over this album....this isn't Adam Levine and Maroon 5
@@zacharygreen6736 fooled the shit out of me.
@@AvaaSlays_Swiftie lol I just mean Maroon 5 has basically abandoned any semblance of real instruments and being a band. ADTR is still using plenty of real instruments and is still clearly a band. That's what I mean
@@zacharygreen6736 barely
This is a good one
From "For those who have Heart" to an album completely devoid of heart.
This album gets so much shit, but in retrospect? There are more hits than misses, and this song is a big hit.
Omg this song is so fucking good
The beginning sounds like umbrella cover of all time low.
This whole album should just be Jeremy mckinnon
Floridien et américain: je vous invite à venir faire un tour au Québec. Trois-Rivières, la ville la plus majestueuse.
You always want your favorite bands to succeed...not only in their career of music but as people as well. Unfortunately sometimes, when musicians are comfortable with life and really have nothing to feel passionate about cuz all is well, you get albums like....this. its not the change in sound, its not the terrible production, its not even how much this album exposes how horrible the music they've been listening to in their off time is, its not any of that as much as it is just the goddamn laziness. This album sounds like a band that literally has nothing left to say. The passion is gone.
source: dude trust me
@@vaderchief Nobody needs to use trusting me as a source. The whole album is available to be heard without buying it.
March 5, i guess its a day to remember.
loll
Because Chevelle released NIRATIAS.
Super kawałek, uwielbiam 🤘🏻🖤💪🏻
This song is honestly one of my favorites.
“Looks like hell, sign me up!” - Teddy
Dope! Love how you guys are evolving in sound
Did I miss the hardcore? Not a single song I've heard has that sound I love from a day to remember. Even for slow songs. The slow songs don't speak the volume of the slow songs I like from adtr
This song in the beginning reminds me of Summer of love By U2
🤘🏻🔥
Everyone says ADTR meets LP, I say it's ADTR tryna be like BMTH
True dat
but bmth is heavy again.
@@thursdayfivenine3106 Lmao, you must not remember old BMTH
Sounds like it too.
❤❤❤
This sounds like Linkin Park and The Cranberries just had a baby, not bad 🖤
