Reese's peanut butter in the jar, in the peanut butter cup, and the Reese's Pieces are three entirely different substances. Their only common trait is that they're peanut-flavored.
What i should know before eating another Reese's is that its going to be just as good as the one i ate before and the fact i just saved myself 10 minutes to enjoy another Reese's without any guilt.
I was in my 50s before I ever tried a Reese's. That's decades of turning up my nose to what is now one of my favorite candies.
I use to love them. Then I made home made ones.. WOW... I can’t go back!!

Reeses use to be my all yime favorite candy but the pb tastes gritty and very sweet the chocolate doesnt even taste like chocolate and it barely melts in my mouth as in the past. I make my own and they taste so much better then reeses.

In the 60s my mom would make peanut butter balls for showers. She would add icing sugar to the peanut butter, roll it into balls and chill it in the fridge. Then dip it in melted chocolate and put it on a cookie sheet. Chill it again and you’ve got something that tastes very close to a peanut butter cup. In Canada I don’t recall seeing them until the late 70s so I thought they stole my mother’s recipe. 😃

Cheryl Walker to me they tasted the same, but there must have been a difference because my mother never liked Reese‘s peanut butter cups. I bought her a package once and she ate one of them and gave the rest of it to me and said it tasted terrible. Yet it’s my favourite chocolate treat.

Peanut Butter Cups are fantastic, especially the dark chocolate version! The Mars executives must have felt like complete idiots for rejecting to be in E.T., after it became the highest grossing movie of all time in 1983.

If you like Reese's PBCs You will really love Aldi's Chocluer PBC. They are Heaven. Plus even tastier than Reese's. They are sold in a bag with at least 30 or so miniatures. Probably more like 45. They are not as big as RPBC twin packs but much larger than RPBC minatures. You should try them. Aldi has a whole variety of Chocluer treats plus they do carry RPBCs as well.

I don’t know if it’s my taste buds but I love baked peanuts in the shell, but for some odd reason when I eat Reese’s penutbutter cups it doesn’t taste anything like peanuts. It’s like bitter or sour and not sweet nutty taste that I know of. And I hate the adds so much cause I see one in every 1-5 videos. Are their markets down? Is that why they dump 3-5 different adverts for Reese’s penut cups?

I enjoye the newer Reese's peanut butter cups that they have out, which by the way they are called zero sugar Reese's peanut butter cups and yes they're a lot smaller plus they're a lot more healthier for you as well. Even though they have zero sugar in them, they are definitely delicious and did I mention a lot more healthier for you too.
Used tobe one of my childhood favorites but I don't know what happened: the center taste gritty & more sweet🙄, someone has messed with the product 🤨. Not as good as it was back in the day-too much sugar in the peanut butter-🤮.........
Yes, I noticed it too some years back when I experienced a nearly immediate sugar high. Nutella made in Canada or Poland is just as unpalatable to me.
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are made in Mexico.
Just look at the ingredients. Its all been replaced with cheap crap. Palm oil, cocoa powder, skim milk powder and aromas.

I really like these but the price on this kind of thing keeps going up, I buy it less often and have even made my own candy on occasion.
Another fun fact about Reese's Pieces peanut butter cups I believe in 2007 they honored Elvis by releasing a peanut butter banana flavor

My absolute two favorite candy bars or a snickers and a rhesus peanut butter cup. I know, Reese‘s peanut butter cups are not exactly a candy bar. But they’re my two favorites to this day.
And yeah, the Mars company really shot themselves in the foot by not going with ET. Who wouldn’t have wanted M&Ms in the movie. It’s funny, growing up I was watching the movie and I’m thinking to myself those don’t look like M&Ms. What the heck, are they? I had never heard of Reese‘s pieces at that point.
I still don’t like Reese‘s pieces, but at least I know what they are now.

I love Reeses PB cups. Except that time my mom bought a couple for us to eat on a trip. We were on the freeway and opened them; a horrible odor of death hit our noses. A rat had gotten into the peanut butter vat, got ground up and packaged in the chocolate! OMG it was discusting! We were on the freeway, already 50 miles from the store where it was purchased. Mom tossed them out the window, the smell was just too much for us. I'm sure we were not the only ones to get a piece of that rat in their cups.😝
Had it happened later, I would have contacted them and sent the discusting things back to their corporate office-hopefully for a lifetime supply of their candy! LOL, I mean I eventually got over it and they are still my favs! BUT I still check by breaking them in half tho...🤔

Take it out the orange wrapper and remove the brown paper. After that think about how good it’s going to be and then throw it in your mouth :). That’s what I would do.

Actually...it's the least Unhealthy of most all the candy bars.
It doesn't have the deadly Palm Kernel Oil in it - except, for some reason, it is in the "Holiday" versions, like the Egg for Easter or the X-Mas Tree for X-Mas.
Read the ingredients and compare to other popular candy bars.

Easiest way to duplicate it is by making Ohio's chocolate buckeye candies. It actually is easier, less ingredients and can be made lactose free for some. I tried it with shortening once via a recipe( turns out the label on Reese's uses this ingredients. ) Ah and in York peppermint patties? EGG WHITES . So yup, and Hershey's never really completed the recipes we know now. He had to get equipment from Europe in the beginning , so his solution was more so manufactured as far as being an 'original' chocolate company salesman. Also, I wonder about this but he was from a farm family that worked by dairy farming from what I read- what an impression that must have left. Still, Kit Kat dark chocolate takes the cake for me any day. Always loved special dark bar until they swapped it with palm oil instead of....well , reading labels is vital today. Enjoy responsibly!

Walmart used to have their own brand of mini-peanut butter cups that was superior to Reeses'. The chocolate had a much better taset. Sadly, they stopped carrying them along with their caramel and mint mini-cups.
I prefer Reeses dark, since I don't like milk chocolate
I like the white chocolate as well as the dark chocolate.
i prefer peanut butter keto cups. they are sugar free with dark chocolate and no preservatives or soy. and pure vanilla extract.

@@dutchgamer842 well the chocolate is sweetened with stevia and erythritol which are both natural 0 calorie sweeteners. pure unsweetened chocolate is very bitter. but the peanut butter filling has only peanuts and sea salt.
