The Avs knew this was a scheduled loss. Calgary played well, excited for a hopeful western conference showdown later in April/May. Love seeing home teams win their openers, it really rejuvenates the spirit in the home town. Class act from all parties as Kadri gets his ring, awesome stuff!
I was pretty hurt we couldn't keep Kadri after the season. but the life lesson i always stuck by was that you don't dwell on the negatives. be appreciative that the stars aligned and you were able to watch this guy in his prime win the biggest prize with the rest of your favorite team. the entire year having to hear that he was a liability after getting suspended in the playoffs the year before, and then finally proving those critics wrong.
