Interesting but does it have any advantage over the welle rWMRS with the magnetic stand?

The only advantage is that you can build it yourself :) See also my newer video which shows the final version of my Weller station.

NICE! Do you have the pinout for the element?

      +xwarp See here: kair.us/projects/weller/wmrp_tip_pinout.jpg
I have used D-type thermocouple curve for my Weller driver and it seems to give quite accurate temperature. Some people say that it is C-type thermocouple (C and D have quite similar characteristics) but it might also be some nonstandard thermocouple. The heater element is nominally 12V, 40W but according to my measurements it needs only about 9-10 volts to reach 40W power.

Can you post/send/direct me to the schematic for the controller?

+Erik Savoie I'm currently making a version which supports also the WMRT tweezers. I will post the schematics in about 3 weeks time when I have got the boards and verified that it works.

+sidchip excellent, the tweezers would be an excellent addition!

+Erik Savoie Took a bit longer than expected but schematic, layout and FW of the new controller are now available at kair.us/projects/weller/index.html

+MrJsantiagoar This controller is not finished, it is just a prototype which I built using PCB from another project. But I can post a schematic and firmware code if interested.
