I've owned this machine since 2004. I just replaced the battery. It runs as good now as when I bought it. The pace you see on the video is deceptive. Set to to topspin and high speed, the ball will take the racquet out of your hand. I use only Gamma pressureless balls. Too hard to accumulate enough good regular balls, but they do feel a little harder than regular balls. If you want it to last a long time, I unscrew the cover at the end of the season and thoroughly vacuum ball fuzz out, and hand clean the moving parts. I didn't buy the remote because people complained of it's poor range. I don't know of any other brand that's better, really.
@@2002MX5 My family used to use a vacuum pump version in the early 90's. Lobster was the one to get back then and probably the standard now as well. Our old one lasted through a decade of family tennis and served me well from the beginner phase, well into my 4.5 rating.
I have the Silent Partner Quest, it works well. I wonder how it compares to this machine? They both have similar features. Let's face it, most people get machines to work on the backhand and some volleys and get some exercise.
How does the Eite one compare to the SlingerBag? Is it worth double the price? Also, if I am getting a lobster machine, should Is it worth paying the extra money for the elite one or is the liberty good enough? Many thanks.
lobster 140km/h . Dunlop 75kmh. Lobster garanty 4 Years. if i had to choice one, would be Lobster but !! its 2 years of coaching = 1 hours by week. The coach correct u. its not easy choice
In many ways, the controls on this machine as more intuitive that the Elite 5. I am sick of spending 10 minutes to try to get the machine settings dialed in for a baseline lob or a volley. And forget about putting them into a custom program... that's impossible.
You need to spend at least $1000 to get something good, but think about it, the machine will last 10 years at least. Compare it to a pretty good road bike.

Are you still using it after these 2 years? Do you still recommend it or you found something better? Thanks!
@@_luisespinosa_ Don't use it much now, but I keep it charged. Have not investigated reliability of any other brands.

Dang, this thing looks awesome!
From Lobster’s website I found that Elite 1 dont have vertical and 2 line function. Is this actually an elite 1 or elite 3?
So this is good enough to get good?? No need to get anything else??

I have seen videos of both machines. The Elite one is compared to the slinger bag like John Isner's serve compared to Jelena Dementjeva's.

is there a way to get the machine to feed short balls (around serve boxes)?? thanks in advance
Ofcourse. Put the speed of the ball to minimum and distance the machine further away. Then the balls will perdectly bounce shorter.
Very nice! Looks like a good machine.
Is those machines are durable? I'm thinking to buy one but i'm worried because in my mind it will brake in a month.

Looks like fun but the prices....
and the price of the remotes...damn
