Arthur, was a prat, brave & a great warrior, future king and he learned a lot from Merlin (the gentle soul) to be a loving person, caring for the people of Camelot. The best part is that even when Merlin was dying he was with Arthur, (Season 1, EP 4) when he sent the blue light to Arthur, and the way he again and again sacrifices or tries to sacrifice his life for Arthur and Arthur doesn't hesitate to do the same
