Exactly what I was going to say. I have been soldering for over 40 years and after watching some videos like this I bought my first flux pen just to find it made no difference to the quality of my joints.
@@Electronichub_05 I have used both the lead free( as I am supposed to use that at work) and the good stuff. Been soldering since I was 6, started soldering PL259 plugs for CB got interested in electronics by 8. Burnt my fingers more than I would like to admit. In the time I have been soldering things have changed a lot!

He must be trolling with the extra flux by now. You don’t need extra flux when soldering with flux core solder.
Pointless - The solder already has flux inside it. You just make more work to clean it off.

@@yorkshireitguys1418 you use leaded solder right? Cause then the solder joints will be nicer than with lead free shit even without flux
