Do you not remember one of the last things Saul said to her in Breaking Bad as he left the office? As they were shredding & burning everything? One of his last instructions was not to forget the phone call at a certain time, & date at a Pay phone. We didn't know what it was at the time. But obviously, this was the call he was reminding her of. In Breaking Bad/Better Call Sail everything happens for a reason. There are no loose ends.
I don’t know if you noticed, but the flashbacks in this episode are parallels of the present scenes. Saul associates with walt and jesse=gene associates with Jeff and buddy. Mike tells Saul not to go for the guy with cancer= buddy tries to convince gene not to go for the guy with cancer. Saul goes to Walt’s highschool anyways= gene goes to the house of the guy anyways. That last scene is even a parallel visually with him closing the doors
Love that final scene of Saul entering to school to see Walter and then Gene entering the home of the cancer man. Both events are the begining of the end.
There was an opening scene to an episode that showed Jimmy shredding papers, post bb before he heads to the vacuum guy, where he tells Francesca to wait for a phone call on a certain day. That was this day.
I love how Kuby saved the train heist, moved and laid in Walt’s money. He helped Skyler beat Bogdan for the car wash. He made sure that Ted made Huel happy. Yet of course we only remember Huel 😂
Btw, they did not know Lalo was gonna be in BCS when it started.. or that Kim was gonna be a key player... and like Jesse, Nacho was gonna be killed in the first season. But they let the actors performances dictate their arcs.. and as for Lalo.. Gilligan was against using him at first. "Who cares who Lalo is... it was a throwaway line" was his opinion. But Gould luckily talked him into it
The character kuby that's mentioned is bill burr, he was originally supposed to come back but when it came to scheduling burr's agent said that he was available without checking with bill first and so he couldn't make it
Rob and Trin, we all LOVE a rewatch around here and YES we would 100% watch you two rewatching/rereacting to all 5 seasons | 62 episodes of "Breaking Bad". Please make this happen.
I would 100% watch you both react to Breaking Bad again! It would be so cool to hear your thoughts on it after finishing this series. Btw i love your content - keep it up! 😊
I've enjoyed watching you react to this series, but I was months behind, and I've now caught up. You've mentioned a couple of times that you fancy watching BB again after this series finishes - we did this and it's totally worth it. Now I think I might have to go and watch you reacting to BB!
They did shoot these Walt and Jesse scenes scenes just for this show. And they had to do it with extreme secrecy since one signting of them in Albuquerque would have ruined the suprise. Also theyre visibly older but i dont csre. Just nice to have em back.
Then AMC ruined the surprise by announcing it prior to the start of the season. In the immortal words of Dennis Reynolds: "IDIOTS! SAVAGES! IDIOTS! IDIOTS!"
I'm watching two other reactors watch BB for the first time and the other day they watched the Better Call Saul episode. Really cool watching these two episodes a day apart.
Just in case you didn't realize, the cab driver is the same guy (character-wise) that recognized him as SG in the mall. They just had to recast due to the original guy having some scheduling issues.
I just watched this show for the first time last month. I had heard that Jesse and Walt were in the show but since they hadn't showed up yet I assumed it was a joke. Boy was I shocked. So cool rewatching this with y'all.
The abandoned gas station where Gene/Jimmy calls Francesca seems to be the same one where Hank tracked Jesse and the RV years earlier, when Jesse paid for his gas with a teenth of meth.
26:50 He might dead. (Reminded me of a flight of the conchords scene, where they go: You left your best friend? He might be ded. Did what? he might be ded. are you f-ing with me?)
better call saul was the name of episode in breaking bad where saul first appeared. It makes sense to name this episode the name of the other show on this show.
😢 this journey ends next week. I’d watch you rewatch BB. I don’t know if you have anything I’ve watched on your schedule, hoping you’ll add either Community, Counterpart or Severence to your reactions. (I have only watched the first episode of Severence, but I’m planning on catching the rest soon) Really enjoyed the trip through LOST and BCS with you. Thanks for the reactions.
Thank you so much for watching us, at the moment the shows that we have in mind to eedit next for youtube are "Dark" and "The 100" that we kind of just started watching not a long time ago.
The song that kicked in around 21:00 (when you thought it was going to be Bridge Over Troubled Water) is a wonderful tune from the same era: Tapioca Tundra by Mike Nesmith of the Monkees. Now there's a sound track that can take this old girl back to her salad days! ❤
I just started watching from your reactions from the middle point even thought I finished the series. I wanna see the last two episode reactions, hope they get uploaded soon seems like it's been two weeks
Rob's face when he learned the name of the episode was good enough but put 16:43 in the books for best reaction to date! 😊 Did you recognize the cancer guy in the bar as Stuart from Big Bang Theory?
@@robtrinreact2825tbh, AMC (and Vince) told us that we would've seen Jesse and Walt at the premiere of the final season of bcs. So we knew they were gonna bring em back. Then as the episodes passed without seing Walt&Jesse and as soon as they announced the titles for the last 4 episodes of the series, with this one named "Breaking bad", it was easy to put 2 and 2 together yeah lol. I like to think that this move at least attracted many BrBa viewers that had never given bcs a real chance before.
Nippy, Breaking Bad and Saul Gone are way too damn good. My only problem is I really wish Jeff’s role didn’t change because of a small detail that I love. Gene is in the taxi intimidated by the cold eyes in the rear view mirror. Gene turned into Saul. Now those eyes are fearful and nervous, worried about what’s gonna happen. If the actors didn’t change you could do a comparison, scary to scared. I could go on all night about these shows. Jeff’s fall and Gene’s distraction was phenomenal. Howard and Lalo under the lab is such a good twist. The only reason why this show exists is to introduce Kim, Chuck, Howard, Lalo, and Bill. The ending would be the opposite without Bill. That writing is so good.. even the music.. the full circle with the cancer is the best way they could’ve done it. This show could’ve been one season but they made that massive 6S buildup just for Kim, Bill and Jimmy while also throughout the show giving us new characters that we love. I needed more Mike and I got too much.. 🩵
Waterworks is fantastic too. Rhea’s acting especially. One of my few gripes with this season is that the scene with her and Jesse would have been a far better first time seeing Jesse (or Walt) than this episode is
@@SteveNathn Of course Waterworks is great too. My comment just would’ve been longer. Rhea is one of, if not the best actor. She plays Kim so well it’s like I’m watching a real person instead of an actor. Sure almost all of the actors do that but I think she does it best. I agree. Jesse scene would’ve been better before the RV scene, that makes a lot of sense. It’s better but I still just prefer how they did it.
I don't know if you watched Big Bang Theory but the guy here with cancer was Stewart that owned the comic book store. Ignore this if I posted that on Patreon.😄

How wonderful is this episodios?
"Another round, good man". - Guy at the bar.
"ANOTHER ROUND, GOODMAN." - What Jimmy heard.
The scenes with Jesse and Walt were recorded for BCS. You can tell by how much older Jesse looks and sounds 💀
19:14 They didn't know, with this you can tell this show is so well written

It's an episode like this that really makes see Jimmy as the most important character of this universe.
Yay! Can't wait for the final two! Love you guys!
Ngl id watch you guys rewatch it lol, im sure theres lots you guys have forgotten and would be cool to see
Lalo was mentioned in Breaking Bad by Saul. Right at the place where Saul had the sack over his head and was panicking.
I just started watching from your reactions from the middle point even thought I finished the series. I wanna see the last two episode reactions, hope they get uploaded soon seems like it's been two weeks
They uploaded the last two episodes together already. RUclips either took it down or they posted it by mistake.

Yeah, for some reason, us mentioning it didn't make it through the edit^^
After the call with Kim he goes in self destruction mode...
I honestly want to get all BCS and BB and El Camino…and super cut it so all the scenes happen in order to really see the insanity…
'conjugate much?' would make sense maybe if nouns were conjugated, instead of declined.
You're lucky, because a few weeks before the episode was aired, AMC spoiled it all by announcing that Walt and Jesse would be in an episode.
Ah, that kind of sucks :(
