I noticed you have a bamboo cane along the top of your purple sprouting broccoli frame and I was wondering if adding canes along the middle of the sides of the frame would help to prevent the plant from falling too much.
I saved my beans but a few weeks ago though. Cleaned my greenhouse with a soft broom and water as good as new 😮 well done on your cabbage crop! Am growing cornflowers almost ready to plant out. Keep up the lovely work. 😊
The new plots looks fine... in the sense that it's nicely laid out and seasonally it shouldn't be expected to be blooming... but it looks nice and set for next season. Brassica's are awesome! I've been harvesting plenty of cauliflower and some green sprouting broccoli (which seems to be our standard variety in Australia). But it took a bit to get right... last year they all bolted before I could really get anything from them... so timing is a big factor... that and the environment/conditions being in your favour. Well done on the cabbage though... very impressive! I mucked up/didn't think to save my sunflower seeds from last year. I still have some left in the original packets though so my little "wall" of sunflowers is going ahead (now I just have to think of where else to dot them around the place :D )
I’ve noticed the brassicas are doing much better in the cool season - it’s making me debate whether it’s worth taking the space up for them in summer! I think I took the sunflowers for granted but they are my favourite flower to have in the house 😂🌻
@@HouseOfTedYT I think I started my brassicas in the greenhouse while it was still warm in autumn, then planted them out and left them... towards the end of winter, start of spring they started coming up... so probably could play around with when you plant them out to try and optimise your crops. I'm just happy to have anything I've managed to grow so it's all a bit of fun.
That cabbage!!! Well done!!!
Thank you!!! 🥬🥬
