YAMAHA Motif ES 6 No sound output or noise for around 30 minutes | Solved

    I have a Motif 6 that doesnt output any sound, but functions otherwise midi etc just doesnt output any sound from the outputs. Where do you suggest I look for problems ?

      Hi,
      Please check the DAC board as shown in this video, in this board the digital signals are converted to analog and fed to the volume control board ( equalizer etc.), from this volume control board the signals are passed to O/p and I/P board. you can even check by disconnecting the two core shielded wire connected to volume control board and touching the connecting pins on board with finger which should generate tricking noise or you can feed audio signal to this connector(using aux cable ) and if there is sound from outputs then the volume control and interfacing boards are working fine and the problem is with the DAC board that is shown in the video. hope this would be helpful.

    Greetings! I have a problem in es6, I turn it on from cold and it burns for half an hour, the screen does not load, then I turn it off, turn it on and reboot.What could it be? Thank you in advance

      Hi, thank you for the Greetings,
      In most of the keyboards i have seen that there is corrosion or dry solder on many of the connectors, the flat cable contacts are corroded, the problem should get solved after cleaning and re-soldering all the points as shown in the video. hope this would be helpful.
