This presentation differentiates communicative competence (CC) from intercultural communicative competence (ICC) and addresses the need to educate language teachers about ICC. Distinctions between CC and ICC are explored through video clips, and suggestions for topics, readings and activities for working with language teachers for developing ICC are shared.
