Josh's seat series has opened a huge door for me. I can now turn my mare with my seat. Finally the remedy to the stiff, perched, hunt seat I was taught as a kid.

I’ve been looking for a video to help rider biomechanics for western riders. Thank you!

Awesome Josh, so freakin nice to see all your riding videos on here now. I talk to my little girl on how to go with her horse. It's why she loses her stirups . Can't wait to show her this. So cute, she has your poster taped up, saw it and it made me smile.

Oh wow this was a great video! Lots to think about, and love the ball to give you an idea of where you are really at instead of on the horse. This video came just when I needed it. Thank you Josh.

That makes a lot of sense, great vid. I'm a novice rider, my instructor always asks me to be lighter in the seat, to get off their back a little and take weight more into the stirrups rather then sinking deeper into them. Both ideas make sense in a way. Deeper I guess would help to follow their movement better

It's a balance for sure! There is a time for a light seat and to learn how to do that but there is also a need to feel deeply into a horses back and understand that as well!

@@JoshNicholAHorsemansPursuit wow thx for reply🙏, oh I meant he asks me to sit lighter in general in the saddle, rather the actual light seat/half seat type position... might just be to counter something I’m doing wrong in the saddle maybe ... thx for the vids, always great info👍
