Yes mi boss. Long overdue, seeing the Caribbean from a Jamaican perspective. Well done
My mom great grandma is Bahamian. It is nice seeing her culture.
The first time I had fried goat was at a Haitian restaurant in Brooklyn. It was seasoned well but because it was fried so dry the meat was too tough for me to eat. I love their Crema rum punch!
Well done Mat. It's good to experience other cultures.
Laaaawwwd, ham mercy! Matthew, I tell yuh suh. You got nerves of steel. That piper plane is too small, and I would feel like a sardine in it! I'm glad you went and shared all the culture of the Bahamas. Thanks for all your videos. I enjoy them.
Food Boss glad you took us along with you on the plane ride! I can imagine it was a beautiful ride over...Pickliz! My neighbour is from Haiti and there is also another friend of mine who also is from Haiti and both make different styles of Pickliz! They use sour orange and soak it with their own spices and use our beloved scotch bonnet pepper! I love it very much and have tried to copy it myself! Enjoy the Bahamas! Infinite Blessings......The energy is AWESOME!

It’s an art in doing it. She gaddit right
You should of visited the fish fry
Yummy 😋
Sweetie, Bahamians does eat Barracuda... THAT should tell you ALL you need to know🥴! They eat all kinds a fish
Yea my friend says he has it at his domino game, most of the people I interacted with in Nassau and Abaco said they don't eat it and tried to warn me against eating the ones we caught. I was told most people don''t eat it; so that's the context I was given. Then a guide I met up with and a couple of chefs told me it was considered 'trash fish'. I personally grew up on it and love it!
@@JamaicaFoodBoss who said Barry is trash fish and that Bahamians don't eat it are NOT Real Bahamians...they are residential Bahamians..they don't know our authentic culture...it's only dangerous when you eat it a certain stage of its growth...
Uptop mi general
Boss, the pikliz is seasoned with sour orange. The citrus flavor (acidity) does the same as the vinegar would, with a different flavor. Pickling effect as vinegar, pikliz a great condiment. Delicious. Takes skill to fry that fish fry and still maintain moisture and seasoned perfection. Whole lot more to caribbean crusine than just Jamaican. And we should embrace them all. Glad you enjoyed it.
"Whole lot more to caribbean cuisine than just Jamaican," my god, why go there?
Exactly!!!
We all want to be recognized. It's the West Indies/ Caribbean, consisting of many Islands. And many are never recognized and why not!!?? Yes, sometimes we have to go there, it's only fair.
Blessings be safe
Nuff respect
Go get some Bajan food
Oistins for fried steak fish
St Lawrence Gap burger!
Hititie is haitian creole tie ending for african hittie
1) we are surrounded by the Atlantic ocean atlantic salmon sharks, lobster, a variety of fish...we eat alot of fish species...2) I'm sure you've heard about our immigration epidemic, you know quite well there are not only 40000 haitians in Bahamas....they outnumber Authentic Bahamians...immigration is not an overnight problem so the no. of Haitians in Bahamas have been growing from waaaay back when king hatchet was a baby...
Ask Sonny side about the Goat pepper. Scotch Bonnet is the real deal.
How you could go to The Bahamas and first thing you go try Haitian food?
What the name of the song playing in the background now I really need it
Not scares of flying but hell nahh that ✈ too little hahah
Bredda me always love and enjoy your volgs every time, this one is good too but you frett me every time you keep saying it's not as our Jamaican escovitch style fish. Bredda you can't compare every thing in Jamaica's way ,all the Caribbean islands has their own unique way and style of preparing their food with different twist , it's not only about Jamaica food is the best man, in the Caribbean we all use the same ingredients and produce and grow the same thing too. In my island pimento is native also breadfruit the peppers and what you all called Jamaican Apple we have that too but a different name. So appreciate other countries dishes and it sounds like Jamaica's food is superior to everyone else that's what I'm getting from you. But it's all love ,me love Jamaica, jamaicans, food culture and vibes still, the same way I love my island . I am looking forward to see more videos from you every time I enjoy them.peace and love me bredda big up yourself.
Well said, what island are you from. I am glad we are exploring each other culture we will have missteps but if the intentions are pure we can forgive it.
Well said. I'm not even sure why he even bring up escovitch. He didn't use his usual words to describe the food so from the looks, he didn't like it.
His comparison is not to make the next country's food bad but for his Jamaican audience to see the similarities between the countries. My opinion.
@@kngston20 Isle of spice where everything nice, just trying to be funny😅 Grenada.
