This is a masterpiece of comedic genius ! Chaplin and Keaton would be proud to make something this good. It's as good as both of them together, but original and hilarious in its own fresh way. Acting is superb, the gags are brilliantly set up and the story really engaging. What a treasure !

I agree. Frank Capra really knew how to make a movie. I worked for his son on "An Eye For An Eye" and was friends with his grandson back in the day. I actually met Frank Capra one time, in 1979. He came to a meeting at AVCO Embassy Pictures, where I was working, and when I saw him enter the Men's Room, I followed him in an told him how much I loved "Lost Horizon" and he related a story about cutting the beginning. Deja vu all over again, I experienced the same thing on "Escape from New York" a few years later.
