Let's put this in a nice way: this type of "dancing" is no better than an exotic dancer at a strip club. In my opinion, the whole point of dancing is to give the song it's own voice, but do that in a practical and conservative way. Dancing is not to be sexy and only wear enough to cover your private parts. It irks me to see girls squander their intelligence and "dance" scantily thinking that's entertaining. Hair flips, slow mo head spins, sexy back stretching, and that skin crawling sexy squat... that's not dancing. Dancing is about the dance moves not the body. Dressing properly doing proper dances is what entertainment is. It's not dressing scantily and just flip your hair and hip swish thinking someone will like it. This is a great song by Tinashe, but watching this video makes me almost not want to listen to the song knowing how people like this think about dancing. It's hard and embarrassing to girls who want to break the stereotype of sexy dancing and be practical because people "dance" like this. Is this what we're giving to the next generation? It's upsetting. I'm all for dancing and enjoying the way it makes you feel: free and powerful, but not like an exotic dancer at a strip club.

Would you have the same opinion if other people gave the same comment I did about the dancing? Also, just because this song has a sexy tone or message, doesn't mean the dancer has to dance sexy to match. You can always rewrite the lyrics or re-choreograph the dance. There are many like me that think this way about dance, and if you can't handle my criticism, then you should sit down. This world is full of opinions and some burns. Just take the opinion or ignore it. I can also agree that dance, whatever type there is, is fun and makes you feel free, but some people, possibly me, is sensitive to dancing like this because I can't lie and say I like it when I don't. It's one thing to wear crop tops and shorts, but I don't believe in wearing that to do the dance in this video because my mind automatically thinks of brawn before brain.
