I remember Ciaron Smith constantly stating Prime Raikkonen is many times better than everyone else, especially Vettel. The fact is that Vettel is exactly like prime Raikkonen, except Vettel could get a fastest lap by miles and dominate a race in a much longer period of time, even without the fastest car.
@@cob-codeofbrawl7668 Uh the Ferrari was not half a second slower than the red bull. Dont try to inflate the challenges he faced. Redbull had horrible reliability and multiple dnfs. Also the Ferrari was the fastest on the straights while the red bull were sitting ducks. Alonso is impressive but he's not the greatest. Unlike Hamilton and Schumacher. Alonso is better than Vettel, but his arrogance and ego easily puts him down below Sebastien.
If you having a driver in 2nd place that seeking to extend his championship lead with a 3 seconds gap on the leader and also 3 seconds gap to the next car, on a very narrow tight street circuit like monaco, and on the last lap of the race, what would you do? A. Told him to hold up position, Or B. Told him to set a fastest lap. Even with today's points that awards fastest lap, there's must be something in your head if you chose the latter.
Because there were no points for fastest lap back then and he had the lead and the team was worried that if he pushes too much then he might crash into the wall and then lose all the points.
@@WaseemSakkaWhat they meant was Vettel back then had a clause in his contract for extra payment for each fastest lap. Kinda like Kimi had a clause for each point scored when he was in Lotus.
Do you ever play F1 at Monaco at Realistic damage setting? Imagine that, but in Real Life where what you did would not just affect you, but also your teams, sponsors, and heck even your families
Vettel looking for the fastest lap point 6 years too early.
He had a bonus in his contract for fastest lap. that's what horner said 🤣
There was no point for fastest lap in 2013?
Hes just doing fastest lap like a side mission back then, what a beast

Yep I totally agree. Prime Kimi/Seb > Prime Hamilton/ Alonso
Haha be careful when Ciaron will come x)

Clearly some engineers are born without emotions. Sebs the man.....
By Monaco it was still too risky to push that way as it was still early in the Season
Engineer is thinking long term as he should, Vettel thinking here and now and risking a whole week's work for 75 seconds of """""satisfaction"""""
@@gmatsue84 I mean he's a racer just like max nowadays. With a champion like Vettel you can't just have the positives without having some "negatives"

Vettel is a real LEGEND of Formula 1 #kingVet5
this video is my go to gym motivation
Like GP and Max for ,,pitstop trainings" in late stages of Spain and Austria😂

Lets not forget that at the end of the year there is the DHL award that goes to the driver that has the most fastest laps for that season.

And just 6 years later, they now actually get points for posting the fastest lap 😂 And still, Redbull don't like it (Max in Spain)
Why are they mad?
Narrow track, going so fast and he could've been over
can somebody explain it to me? why did redbull not want him to get the fastest lap?
