When transporting steel coils ALWAYS use sheths to protect the strap never put the strap directly onto the metal coil. If you haven’t got the protective sheths use cardboard or wood! Never put the strap in direct contact with the metal coil.
Chains damage the exterior and interior surfaces of the coil. Depnding on where you load the coil you will get special straps designed specially for securing coils

that net is gonna tear like paper against the galvanized pipe.
Isn't that plenty considering that the weight it self is helping it keep steady ?
