I think some moves made by neither LACHICA nor FREEMIND were made by Kiel Tutin. According to album unboxing videos, he was also listed on the credit of choreographers.

@@betteryet4928 there is for sure a choreographer who is in charge, but I believe Ive members contribute to the final version too

Whoever combined these two dances did amazing. I don’t know if there was a 3rd choreo to fill in the gaps or what but the end result was the best combination of these 2 choreo. Starship did that.

its fascinating that the steps from 0:44 and 2:40 were coincidentally made identical by both freemind and la chica. I like how both demo's are equally distributed in the final dance routine, both crews did a great job on making this iconic dance moves.
Sometimes a move just makes sense, and you can't imagine the bit without it. When I did a first listen to Love Dive (without choreo) I imagined the same thing at 2:40!
This is why I get annoyed when ppl try and argue that people are stealing moves etc. like the person above me said sometimes a move fits and sometimes you can feel the move for the song/part/beat. These are perfect examples of this. And there are other demo choreos where some parts are made the exact same. It’s just the right vibe for the move. Your right they both did good and whoever combined them deserves a reward.

@@kookiemonster6035 i think for 0:44 they were more talking about the types of moves, since it all kind of highlights the face. or maybe the prayer hands. the 2:40 one i think is them flipping their hands over along to “lalalalalala”, which is more identical imo

I love Freemind’s choreo, really fits the “narcissistic” vibes that Love Dive was going for. But I’m happy with the actual choreo, cause they would be out of breath if they went full La Chica😂.

freemind definitely really good at making gg choreo, they know how to make iconic choreo, killing part or dance point, their choreos are also pretty too
I love Lachica, but artists tend to have issues with how hard their dances are. I was really impressed to see them do an easy dance for Jessi with ZOOM.
Right?? The only artist I can think of that can keep up with a full power La Chica or Ygx choreo is Chungha but she's probably from a different planet

Had no idea they can combine two choreographies it makes sense though, but now I wonder how many choreographies have two demos
Almost most of them do, if the company or group had the budget it would likely be done like this, if it’s not stitched together it’s likely that one dance team or one choreographer took on the whole entire dance or a in house choreographer but most who can afford it would have done it this way

For big kpop companies, they can afford to hire as many choreographers to make demos for them. I think SM hired 6 choreographers for Aespa's next level then their in house choreography team tweaked and combined the choreographies.
Starship did well combining la chica and freemind's choreo for love dive. The final choreo is just mesmerising

This the basic process of creating a choreo, most likely both had couple diffrent drafts that they did and then(usually) everything is tweaked together with the opinions from company, members and company choreographers. They can literally take the Best parts from each and modify some of them to be more "stage fitting", since the artist isnt just gonna dance but sing as well. This is a whole process and im glad that Finally, after a decade, the actual dancers who are making these choreo for these idols, are finally getting some recognition from their work.

I honestly like the ending of lachica choreo because it matches the chorus and Ives ending is not as smooth because leeso having to go between yujin and Rei.

Thank you for the video. When Lachica released the video demo, I noticed several adjustments of the Ive's choreo and then Freemind also released theirs and it all clicked. I love how they combined 2 different choreos and the final choreo still feels flowing without being interrupted.

real big props to the choreographer who did the final version. she mixed lachica's and freemind's version real well. getting great parts from each demo then mixing them to fit ive's concept. looking at them all the same time is really fascinating, so thankyou too to the uploader hehe

This is how literally every kpop choreo is made. They rarely use just 1 choreographer for the whole song, and uses multiple teams to combine and choose from multiple choreos and parts.
Lachica's 2nd refrain made IVE a great dancer. I still prefer more lachicha choreography and energy coz it fits the song more, but Freemind has K-pop idol vibe so it fits IVE more.
I love how it's mostly changing when another member sings, mixed the choreos well

1:14 (the hand grab) was my favorite part of the entire choreo from the start. Freemind did so well, but almost all of my favorite parts (aside from the mirror) are from Lachica. The "ping-pong" moment was also a favorite.

I really like la chica’s choreography especially at the start and the second verse! It’s so satisfying to watch. I think the final dance was a good mix of the strengths of both sides that fit Ive as an idol group well

No hate to the offical choreo but the demo when all the girls are dressed in black is amazing. Look at how its executed with the perfect amount of hand and leg movements and for it to be on every beat and word. Absolutely amazing, I just think I might learn the choreo

I’m sure there’s still another demo out there cause there’s still a gap in the official choreo that needs to be filled in…
there are only these two! beforee released it was found out that these two made the demos, for the changes in parts it's usually the in-house choreographer (starship's choreographer) that pieces the two and tweaks it into a final version ^__^

one thing i think is really clear in dance demos is that some people may have forgotten that those girls have to SING while dancing at the same time. those demos looked exhausting to do at some points.

The only part that I wish they kept for FREEMIND is at 1:40 after Gaeul's transition. They do the "palm tree wave" a lot and it becomes very dull. The finger-pointing that they do really suits the song's theme and would've looked really good.

I finally remembered what Lachica's part at 0:38 reminds me of; Dreamcatchers Scream when they all circle around Gahyeon! Its such a cool move but im glad they went with the other version since it fits this song better :3

Lachica is a perfect example that complicated kpop choreos are possible but not exactly feasible. Their choreo is great and fun to watch but Jesus its would be exhausting for a three minute song plus vocals
In terms of dance, the choreography that Lachica came up with was better. However, it was artistic, and a little creepy, and was focused on the dance, and using it to accent the music to tell a story. But IVE is not dance group. They are a kpop group, and they are meant to be attractive. You can tell that much simply based on the members they chose, no hate to any of them, but they chose the girls that would appeal most to the Korean public, not necessarily the most talented ones. Lachica, while it appeals to a dancer’s eye, would not appeal to the public. It isn’t “pretty” enough. Also, don’t fight with me about liking theirs better, I have sixteen years more experience than most of you, and even if you have more experience than me, I am entitled to my opinion, just as you are entitled to yours. Dance in general is meant to tell a story, accenting the music to best communicate that story to the audience. The love dive choreography is supposed to accent the girls more than the song. The original story of Narcissus wasn’t supposed to be beautiful, or poetic, it’s supposed to be a warning, whereas IVE’s version is meant to attract people, not scare them away.
IVE is telling a different story. It’s that simple. So would I prefer it if they had used Lachica’s choreo? Yes. Would it have been better for them? No. I still wish they’d gone with it, though. But that’s not how you make money off of art.
