I played this one first with my buddy, before 2 came out. Ended up getting 2 and then 1 shortly after for myself, because even if it's a bit simpler, it had a certain cohesive vibe and design that 2 couldn't quite match. Both are great.
The NOSTALGIAAAAA oh my goodness. I remember being a little kid and watching these all the time at my dad’s while playing on our PS2. Much simpler and better times for sure
I just got the Classic Collection and can't find these videos in it, so I'm watching this here on RUclips for the nostalgia! I just wanted to see the classic video tutorials lol
In the most recent Battlefront game the Caphex Spy reinforcement class that’s available to the Resistance has a very similar ability. He throws a dart that sends out a scanning pulse that reveals nearby enemies. When outdoors you can press the button again after deploying the dart to call down an orbital strike.
Until you get railed by the tuskens and they take your base. They are literally unhinged on hard. I cant win on that map as rebels or CIS its like being sandwiched.
@@thelastarcadegamer6655 The Gungans and Wookiees as a faction only exist on the campaign missions. In like Instant Action on the Plains map the Gungans spawn from the center command post if it's controlled by the Republic or Rebels as allies to them, same for the Wookiees on Kashyyyk.

They were never on the PC version for some reason. I presumed copyright at first but then realized the campaigns still have clips from the movies so who knows why. Maybe just a case of 'PC players are smart enough to figure it out.'
@@morsecode980 No, game design doesn't work like that. Getting down to prone would break the flow of the combat. You can sprint and roll forward in BF2. Movement speed is faster, weapons have faster bolt speed and vehicles are faster as well. BF1 was a slow walking simulator. (I love both games btw.)
Oh wow, I forgot concussion grenades were a thing! I'm used to BF2 just spamming normal grenades as a soldier against a vehicle haha. The clone's EMP effects are a really nice touch I miss in the original though

It’s disrespectful to even call the new Star Wars games, battlefronts. They don’t even share the same type of gameplay. The classics selling point was a nonlinear team focused game while the new games are linear cod like focused game. Not to mention how dirty the vehicles were done in the in the new “battlefronts”.
"To take off or land, press the land/take off button."
Helpful.
LOL, don't worry, it's the same as the 'jump' button.
I miss having third "neutral" factions in the sequel, was cool
IIIIIIN GALAC-TIC CON-QUEST ...
Burned into my brain
You battle your enemy one planet at a time for total control of the galaxy.
I do miss in-game tutorials like these something about the world explaining to the player how to play
I had this game as a kid but not 2, so for me THIS is my nostalgic Battlefront game 😂
1 had some of the coolest maps, 2 was abit lacking in some departments but it Brought many new elements

Same dude lol
I had 1 at one point. eventually got to play 2. Now i own both. talk about classic right?
I modded 2 so that i can play with maps and Vehicles from 1

This has lived rent free in my head for decades.
"IN GALACTIC CONQUEST"🗣🗣🗣🗣
I do miss the emp launcher for the jet trooper and I never knew about the orbital strike. LOL.
Wish we still had that!
Elite Squadron brought it back.

0:12 the only yellow command post in the game apart from the campaign missions

Dune Sea has Tuskens on it even outside of the campaign
Dune sea has tuskens. Naboo plains has gungans. I think endor has Ewok command posts. Kashyyk I think has a Wookiee one
The only other faction that is on their own is the guards at Jabbas Palace. I didnt know this but the map was on bf1 as well.

I always liked BF1 more than 2, it just has a different charm to it.
Better instant action maps! Bespin Platforms was amazing!
@@CharuzuAutomatonArtificer You could also go prone
@conscript900 oh heck yeah I completely forgot about that!
The sniper rifles also had their own unique sounds fun fact. I have a particularly soft spot for the Droid Assassin's rifle.
You could jump out of spacecraft
I remember when the droideka was nearly invincible but if you managed to face hug it it couldn't hit you.
That's true for the Droideka in the new BFII and the one in Republic Commando too, lol.
@@Mega-Brickso easy to troll with droideka in new battlefront. Just roll around the enemies and they won’t be able to kill you😂
The thumbnail hit harder than anything else.
The nostalgia is insane
This stuff plays in my head rent free andi love it
I always thought bf1 was better than bf2. Way more little details and features.
Gameplay wise BF2 is way better.
@@MarsiB013Why did BF2 get rid of being able to go prone? I always thought that was stupid

The storm trooper in the second tutorial just blasts a cap straight into the Ewoks head
i remember looking for this ages ago, theyre not on the pc version of the game, i couldnt find my ps2 copy at the time, thank you for this!
Who’s here after that classic Star Wars battlefront 1 and Star Wars Battlefront 2 announcement?!

“Just like in the simulations”
I know the PS2 BF2 was better, but I still find a charm in BF1. The simplistic UI was rather timeless to me.
March 14 2024 battlefront 1 and 2 are coming to ps5
Man now I wanna play the OG Battlefront again 😢 and wish it and the OG BF2 got a remaster as well
Both the games are amazing no need to even pick a favorite one.

There's a video missing from this compilation: the CIS version of the command posts tutorial.
I completely forgot about the vehicle repair droid, dang I’m old
I've been playing since 2004 or 2005
Would like to play an updated version of this with better AI.
Love this game!!
Thanks for the nostalgia.
5:24 this is just for me
I like how you see the wookie just shoot the ground
"use time bombs for a surprise attack"
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
I'd love to see how those pilots fly and fix a vehicle at the same time.
4:07 10 seconds is a long time.
Was i the only one who won and lost in galactic conquest just so i could blow up every planet i could?

GALAC-TIC
CON-QUESST
Why isn’t this in classic collection?
Because this version is the PC version.
Ily bf1 2004
Classic Collection didn't have these so it can get fucked
Apparently the original PC version of the game didn’t have these either, it was only on consoles
classic
