Hi Mike, im a new subscriber, but have watched many of your videos! Man I cant tell you how much i appreciate your time and all your effort you've put into the "Real Deal", of audio equipment! You've helped me, and im sure others, on not only choosing quality, but most importantly in todays economy, price, price, and price, to get the biggest bang for a buck! Im currently looking for a single 6.5" mid and you did it again, helped me out finding what i need! You've definitely got a new fan in me! Thanks so much!
After watching your videos for a year, I went and bought Orion 6.5 inch 600w..wow I was amazed with clarity and power handling plus its CEA compliance..thanks a lot..dont take a long time to post next time...
Hi Mike, thanks for sacrificing your hearing to try and help us with sounds. Hope you found a nice solution to make testing speakers more enjoyable. I’m trying to organise an economical and nicest sounding system, not loudest but most pleasurable to hear. 4 x 6.5 mid bass, 4 x 3 or 4 inch speakers for highs, I don’t like tweeter sound. And either 2 x 10 inch subs or 1 x 12 inch sub. I think I prefer prv for mids but they are hard to get and I can’t find Timpano. I guess I could go cheap and get pyramid.
Hey bro dont buy piramid cuz later u want to change them Go with american bass they cheap but sound better then 2x price speakers Also DS18 entry level speaker are dicent too
I had the fsx’s on an aftermarket head unit. They sounded great and got pretty loud. I traded cars with my wife and put the factory unit back in. The Skars still work very well in there
I have did some testing with the SKAR Audio 6.5's. And here are my thoughts.. FANTASTIC!* If you want that PUNCH Kick Drum? Have your doors Damped and sealed as much as Possible? You CAN NOT GO WRONG [ *If you listen to LOUD rock Music or EDM* ] They do take a bit to break in to get full Sound Quality. What do I mean by that? Well... They do seem to have a BIT of breaking in till they reveal all the small microdynamics. Most people won't even hear it. But you really HAVE to Mount these speakers on a SOLID DOOR FRAME! If you can get away with Baltic Birch, and use something like Dynmat extreme? And Also get rid of all Door Panel Vibrations? These speakers do 90% of what some of the best HiFi parts can do. And I'm talking about stuff from Dynaudio, Seas, Silver Flute etc. They are not as revealing as those, but for most people (like 99% of you, you won't be able to hear the difference. ) Output is amazing. the 8" would be the way to go if you can. But the 6.5 inch is PERFECT if you can seal your doors. The 6.5 inch also does better of axis then the 8" models. It really does great on your front soundstage when you take into account cabin gain. Again, the 8" would be best as it will be Happy to go down to 100 Hz ZERO ISSUES. That way you avoid that Muddy Chesty sound. It has a Few peaks that can be taken care of with a DSP or a 31 Band E.Q. Again, if you can fit the 8" version? And want a quick and Dirty drop in install? Go with that. The 6.5 works fine as long as you have your subs take over at about 80hz at 12dB. The thing that supprises me is that they go loud, and don't suffer from power compresion as most other drivers do made for cars that most of us who listen to higher volumes are use too. I'm not talking SPL stuff here. I'm talking about just loud tunes while driving down the road with the windows down. THIS is the PERFECT door speaker for that. As a Reference, the alpine type S that Mike reviewed a while back is still a Budget S.Q. option as long as you keep your power in check. But the most people don't have their ears where the door speakers are mounted, so its really not ideal. But it does blend well if you work on your front stage. A big thanks to mike for doing these reviews!
th aloth. i had skar fsx 8s and 6.5 in rear i changed 8s to audigo legion slim neo 250$ for pair, iwas going to switch 6.5 skars for ds18 pro-gm6.4 So u saved me money to down grade, so now im stayin w/ skars!!! CT sounds neo65 seem nice for 100 for 2 have huge range
Yesssssssssss your backkk!! Great when this series is over, can you please do a midaBASS 6.5" & 8" mid bass serieries. Not midrange. I'm in need of mid bass speakers for my jeep n everywhere I go its only midrange speakers.thanks n great to have you back you rock
I know nothing about car audio. Like zero. So I hear what you're saying about price, sound quality, loudness etc. But what I question is how familiar are you with audiophile quality which is not just booming bass, extreme treble but about accuracy of music. Every speaker has it's own colour, but do you know how to look at tonal accuracy, texture, realism etc? I like to hear more about some of these audiophile features than just say "quality". It will help me a lot more to be honest. But at least i get an idea of some speakers you mentioned. Thanks for the reviews.
I have a 2003 Chevy Avalanche, front stock speakers have a separate tweeter. I have no Idea how much power I get from stock amp. Should I go with Lowest RMS or Highest sensitivity along with lowest frequency response?
I was going to get the timpano after watching the test of the 8 inch but I went a set of JBL components because it came with the crossovers and tweeters. I am running stock HU and power in a 10th gen civic.
Hi Mike, I got a pajero sport 2011 model and want to replace stock speakers without replacing headunit or adding amps. Can u pls recommend a speaker to me.
You need to come back do some neodymium speakers keep building your channel bro beat reviews do some subs in car those get tons of views I love your channel
I've owned both Skar FSX and currently running the NPX series, FSX is more "Bass-y" to me, and the NPX also have good bass, but they sound like tweeters with the right settings, super clear. But I'm looking for a combination of the NPX series because of how clear it is, and something that can get loud like DS18.
I looking for the best sound not the loudest my installer put 6.5 neos DS18 close to $200 for 1 . So I’m thinking it’s going to be really good but all I hear is screaming it’s not even close what I want. I want to hear instruments, caustic music, really like all kinds of music but mostly R&B . I was trying to make him understand but he said it’s the best on the market . So right now in my jeep I have 6 6.5 and 6 teeters 3 12 subs and 3 amps and really it’s really loud but it’s not reversible only rap and R&B would sound good , please help me out what I need as far 6.5 I think changing those would help tremendously, thanks
I’ve been debating and researching for weeks trying to find the best “component” speakers 6.5 with clarity and bass for my money, to install in my 01 Ls430. I need help deciding what to get, I already have a 15” Skar Vxf Sub with 3k crunch amp just need some good midbass/range because my stock speakers just fully blew out. I’ve looked into the skar jbl pioneer ds18 etc. but struggling to make a decision
Hey Mike, Question? Si in Skar Audio FSX65-4, so can I use it to replace my stock factory car speaker without amplifier? Please give advice. Thank you in advance.
@@LIFEINSPEED Engineered in the "USA" made in P.R.C lol. I have an Amp from them and it's been great. I ordered their bullet speakers, let's see if they sound good.
How come when you test these speakers you never play rap or r&b? You do know the music you test with is nothing people listen to today. When you play these speakers with rap and r&b I’m sure they all gone sound different.
Dude, where have you been? Missed your videos

I have those Skar speakers 🔊, they sound pretty good.
ME TOO
Me 3
I have the Timpano mr 6.5 slim. Very nice sound from them.
So would you say the timpano slim mr is better than the timpano bullet midrange speaker?
@@alonzofoster519 No. It's not better. Bullet is better and cost more.

B-e-a-Utiful thangz! Any views on the best Sealed Back 6 or 6.5" Mid?
How do the Alpine S-S65 compare to these speakers?
What's a good tweeter to run with these? I have a deh80prs so crossovers aren't an issue
Yoooo MIKE how have NOT reviewed any AUDIOPIPE SPEAKERS??

You're alive!!!
What about the Infinity Kappa 20mx 2.5 inches?
I ask your honest opinion. Is Orion the best???
When you test these speakers how come you don’t test with rap or r&b. The speakers will sound very different with that type of music
Welcome back #Mike
Wht do u think about the ds18 pro x6.4m
Ain't no way the Crescendo PWX 6.5 shouldn't be in the top 5. You gotta check those and the SSA Evil 6.5's out on this channel at some point.
Will order them let see Thank you for your suggestion.
@@LIFEINSPEED no problem!
Try the cerwin vegas!!I
Hi MIke
Which Chinese Brand speaker personally do you like for car audio ?????
Thank you
For $40 or less you can’t go wrong and that’s the price for the 2 speaker not one!! with skar you can’t go wrong trust me 💪🏻
Would Love to see a review on the 6.5 Alphasonik ABM65 Dynamis Series! And I know you’re the perfect guy to do it!

What you think about Infinity Primus pr6512is speaker?
Get JBL and save some money sounds exactly the same amzn.to/3c62tF2
These speakers can they be ran active
When you need to use a decent NCS for a bass test, I like to use "NCS Drop the Bass". It hits the frequencies I tune for. It's not too bad of a tune.
Cerwin Vega all day for a full sounding midrange with great accuracy. Dynaudio for rich, detailed sound with amazing imaging
The stroker pros I have my eyes on but I can't find any reviews on them
Yeah I uploaded one review saturday morning will be public to watch

Hey Mike, i found another woofer/midrange speaker you should do a comparison. $60 range Peavey 6.5” 8ohm 150w RMS Chinese made.
I have a Subaru BRZ it’s got a 1” tweeter and a 4” midrange 6.5 bass I’m trying to find speakers to fit that sound great and have good power handling
