no offense to other channels, but you are the only person i can watch about disney updates without feeling overstimulated. i appreciate your content so much. it serves as an informative source to go to and as a comfort when i need to see something to look forward to. Thank you! Keep it up!❤
I can't wait to see your coverage of Epic Universe when you are there! Thanks for this video! Maybe take a trip up to PA when you're out east to ride Wild Cat's Revenge at Hershey!
Looking forward to watching your Epic Universe content! It looks like they're really showcasing their IP, particularly the fan favorites with Dark Universe, Harry Potter, Nintendo/Donkey Kong, and of course How to Train Your Dragon. It looks like they aren't just delivering rides, they're delivering fully immersive entertainment. I cannot wait to get there to see it for myself.
I am stoked about the Ministry of Magic attraction!!! Order of the Phoenix was one of my favorite movies because they got the Ministry of Magic right. The movie’s version was so much better than what I had imagined when I read the book. Universal has captured the movie’s just in its queue. I can’t even wait to just wait in line!!!!😂
I Think All The Lands at Epic Universe Will Be Wicked and Excellent. I Love How to train your dragon, Super Mario, Donkey Kong and The Universal Monsters. Wish i could go, cant im 64 yrs old and Loved Rides at Theme parks. Nice video Dylan thank you for sharing, glad you told me that the Battle at the ministry will not be like the tower of terror cause thats what came to mind😊❤ I forgot to mention Harry Potter lol
I saw them move in DL in 2022 and then they weren't moving at WDW a few weeks later. The MGM version was DEFINITELY more broken down than the DL version.
Hands down the coolest thing on Rise of the resistance is when you are moving past the giant cannons and they move back and forth as they fire out the fake screen Windows. That was one of truly one of the greatest moments in a dark ride I've ever experienced. And it is absolutely tragic that they can't figure out how to get those to work again. I understand that there is an issue with the Bluetooth movement of the ride and the movement of the Cannons but they need to figure that out and bring that back!!
Agreed. Disney has a long and troubled history with overpromising and underdelivering. Just look at the broken Yeti on Expedition Everest or the broken doors on Indiana Jones: Temple of the Forbidden Eye. 😢 Honestly, I am of the opinion that it's better to do a few things well than a lot of things badly. The Fantasyland dark rides are simple but reliable. The bigger and fancier rides get, the bigger the risk of them creating problems with park capacity, guest satisfaction, and negative publicity when they don't work. I think we all would have forgiven Disney for the non-functioning laser cannons in Rise of the Resistance if they had given us Darth Vader instead of Kylo Ren. But the fact that Disney was so overconfident in their Star Wars sequel trilogy that they themed an entire land around it just makes me mad. 😢
@ yep I remember picking which of the 3 doors we might get! They deem things not necessary to fix after awhile. That’s terrible and lazy. That’s something six flags does
@@thebluetarp To be fair, Universal has been plenty lazy at ride maintenance as well. Poseidon Entertainment made a RUclips video about how Universal has abandoned many elements of Skull Island: Reign of Kong at Islands of Adventure, including the outdoor portion of the ride.
Comments based the photos and info from elsewhere. The ride vehicle will have 2 rows of seats. 8 in the back and 6 in the front making up 14. There will be 2 doors to each vehicle to allow quick boarding. The ride technology itself will be akin to the tower of terror vehicle but mounted on a track with jacks. It will move forwards, backwards and sideways as well as up and down to simulate movement of the elevators in the movie in between show scenes.
I think in someways it’ll be like the other Harry Potter attractions. But also, we have to remember that to technology is more further along for these upcoming attractions then let’s say the forbidden journey. The forbidden journey is fantastic and I can only imagine what they could’ve done using today’s technology. Thank you for the video and the information.
I think Universal has the incentive to make an epic park and have seen the issues Disney is dealing with and hopefully have made sure they won't have those same issues. Plus, I think Universal has a lot more IPs than Disney that more people besides what should be for kids like. DISNEY is where IPs go to die.
Honestly, I would be surprised if they didn't up their game. Their contract with JK Rowling states they have to do something every 5 years (unrivaled anywhere else in the world).
@@kentslocum Japan Universal could add a Diagon Alley 2030, Universal Singapore could add Harry Potter & the Triwizard Tournament 2035, Universal Beijing - Quidditch Riders (ET ride but with broomsticks) 2040. Then Expansion pad Epic Universe Harry Potter - Night Bus Ride 2045.
Harry Potter was and is still a game changer for Universal and Disney doesn’t have an IP on the same level. Universal also has the rights to Wicked which could be another immersive IP land.
"When everything works..." That is the key isn't it. Has Universal ever had a ride where a key themeing element was allowed to languish for years like say in Expedition Everest, or the turrets in Rise? At the very least, Universal knows about that kind of thing and the effect on the ride experience. Interesting that the Ministry ride has very self contained ride vehicles. Apparently a big issue with downtime at Disney rides are simply visitors losing items out onto the ride floor and it triggers sensors. Being in a container means it's more likely random objects don't fly onto the ride path...if there is a path, lol. Still, Dylan is right, nice to see concept art be translated into reality without having to pass by a few budget minded erasers on the way. Universal is reaching for the stars. They know the environment, they know where they stand with Disney. They seem focused on a big picture that Disney gets blind to as Disney tries to do the Wall Street dance of shaving every penny of "unnecessary" costs and adding pennies to every price. (Side note, enjoy your Jersey Mikes Sammiches now if you like them, they were just sold to Wall Street) You just know as soon as EU is open and running well, they'll be adding a new land instantly to get people continually hyped, whether that is Oz or LotR or whatever they can.
Love the video and want some tips on starting a vlog channel for me and Michael are thinking of moving to Florida just us together someday and want to meet you some day at Disney land and Bashgarders and bringing a friend april
Thanks so much for the support!! And yeah I’m going to be living on these rides. The team members are going to have to drag my butt off these things haha
They said that they literally had to invent new technology to create this ride… I think universal has moved on from making boring screen rides, especially for this park.
Lol I can’t speak my mind when it comes to your comment because Dylan may delete it and I don’t want to lose my job at universal so I’m gonna say this just save your money and go to Disney then if u are gonna be negative

This looks amazing!
Also to note, the big cannons in Rise of the Resistance... no longer move (one of the best effects). Doubt they will ever move again.

Reminds me of the falling rocks ice machine in Indy. Disney does this ALL the time. Funny how their prices only ever go in one direction, however.

This ride is going look so amazing
I can’t believe how fast time flies. I remember when the announcement came it was a bit over a year and now it’s only 6 months away until it opens
Wow! Will you be there for the opening?

My question is how that contract language is sustainable. They could open another park in the UK with a Wizarding World, but then what?

@justimagine2403 I just wonder whether duplicates are considered "new" or not?

Great video, Dylan. EU opens in 6 months and it will change theme parks forever.
😂 no it won’t. It’s just another theme park. Stop with the fake antics.
Change theme parks forever lmfao😂😂😂 bruh it's a Harry potter ride lmfao
🎉🎉🎉🎉
This ride looks incredible, I’m so hoping Universal knocks it out of the park, can’t wait to spend all the time here!! Great video!
Thanks so much for the support!!
And yeah I’m going to be living on these rides. The team members are going to have to drag my butt off these things haha
I think we are all too excited for this ride because of the queue. The ride will probably be another 3D ride and may suck.
It’s looking like the ride won’t have 3D tech. Just digital media, practical sets and animatronics. So that’s great!
They said that they literally had to invent new technology to create this ride…
I think universal has moved on from making boring screen rides, especially for this park.
You won't want to ride it then will you Mr Negative
Lol I can’t speak my mind when it comes to your comment because Dylan may delete it and I don’t want to lose my job at universal so I’m gonna say this just save your money and go to Disney then if u are gonna be negative
Its just animatronics and physical sets. No screens, only for background reasons like monsters
