    During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
    FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of RUclips!

    I really like it! Until now, i never even knew the "Rebel" package existed! I love that cool grill and giant RAM badges. In a way it does remind me of the Ford SVT Raptor. The interior is Classic Dodge! (And i agree the placement red throughout the interior is similar to the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk). Great review as always, Kyle!

    im in love with this truck, I really am hell I don't even mind the obvious ram logos... but seriously one thing I HATE in these newer Rams are the JAGUAR STYLE dial shifters, I mean its a fucking truck not an executive's XJ, which Is why I wished they stuck to the good old column shifter but I guess they installed it for convenience purposes cuz some people have difficulty backing a truck up I guess...

    Hands down some of the best reviews on RUclips. Thanks Kyle. In the cases that you have a vehicle that can do some off-roading, it would be nice to get your impression of those capabilities as well (assuming the dealers you work with don't mind and you feel comfortable with that). Either way, I always look for your videos on any vehicle I'm interested in because I know you'll cover everything.

    Just an idea for you when reviewing trucks, Kyle. Bring a cowboy hat and have it on when you check out the headroom, front and rear, to see if there is enough room to wear it without hitting the roof. This might be of interest for the small percent of the truck buyer population who like to wear their cowboy hat while driving or riding.

      +Legal Zephyr Soo is my charger not a dodge also? The name DODGE ram doesn't click in your head? Every this truck has is dodge, from the ugly key fob to the stupid uconnect radio, just because a different part of the company makes the vehicle doesn't mean it's not a dodge. You wouldn't say Chevrolet isn't a GM product would you? Or a Buick, those are both different parts of the company but GM makes it. It's a dodge m8

    Great video review! Couple things - the "RAM" badge is only on the Rebel and Laramie Limited models. The Laramie Longhorn deluxe models still feature the original Dodge RAM head (thank god). The rotary dial transmission selector is horrific looking and even less satisfying to operate. 2500 models retain the excellent "column shifter" style. Finally, that seat material is sadly inept when compared to the all leather variants. It wouldn't be so bad if we weren't paying premium money, but the Rebel's are only a little bit cheaper than loaded Laramie Longhorns, which means for a little more you would get a lot more out of a deluxe model with premium seating (I'm also not a fan of the black/red interior, but that's my own bias).
    The new heavy duty RAM trucks are the best in their class. I'm am undecided on these 1500s.

    Just so you know Kyle the 4 corner air suspension isn't Rebel exclusive, it can be had on any new 1500 according to the "Build Your Own" tool on the Ram Trucks website. It's hard to find one with it in the wild, I'm assuming that's because of the $1,800 price tag on the option.

    • @BIGJBIGEBIGC
      @BIGJBIGEBIGC 8 лет назад

      +B SCOTT in case you've been living under a rock 2010 fords have been recalled for brake issues, 2011-2014 some other major issues. And in 2014 ford had to recall all f150s due to a failure in the steering gear. They told owners NOT to drive the trucks.... Bailouts have really nothing to do with the truck, as far as I'm concerned the 3500 dodges laugh at the poor conditions the 350/450 suffers.

    • @billconmas
      @billconmas 8 лет назад

      +josh bush , Josh I'm glad you like your Dodges it's cool at least they are not Toyotas or Nissans . Just bought a 2016 no problems. Have had most models since 95 , not one problem , just routine maintenance . We all have the right to chose the truck we want to drive it just seems the dodge boys buy a basic truck and think it's a race car and have to tailgate or try to race when they're behind me , the Chevy guys get it , they're used to 2nd place ( Nothing wrong with silver) . When Dodge makes a comparable/ reliable truck we can talk

      +Doreen Pelletier Why not just get the Explorer Sport? It has the same 3.5 Ecoboost and 4WD but it's about $10k cheaper. No amount of interior features is worth that. I'd pay extra for the Sport because of its performance boost over the Limited, but I'm not paying a ton of money for just features that people can do without. Less features means less weight so better performance and mileage, less initial cost and less to break.
      Always buy a car with the highest performance but lowest features. Think about it, Ferrari's don't have all that convenience junk, but no one cares because they're fun to drive.

    Is there a reason why you separated the interior clips? I liked what you did on your last vid, when u put them together

    • @saabkyle04
      @saabkyle04  9 лет назад

      +jeez3k This is how I always shoot my videos, I separate the portions into dedicated sections that focus on that specific area of the vehicle. Since I covered so many S-Class models, I meshed that video together as there was no need to cover every little nook and cranny. I don't do videos like that often, but that was a special case where it made sense and worked out pretty well.

    Excellent presentation loaded with all you need to know about the truck, very comprehensive and a big jump in features compared to my 05 Dodge Ram Hemi. But that's technology for you, yet I love my Dodge Ram as it sits and in some respects cosmetically I like it better than the Rebel with the added chrome touches I put on mine. I'm not too keen on the bulbous front end of the Rebel, that should be reeled in a little and the hugh Rebel nameplate on the tailgate is over the top, circa "Power Wagon". I stripped the door badging off my truck as well as the tailgate, only leaving the SLT badge. I would do the same with the Rebel emblem in the back, it's gotta go and is an example of over doing it when less would make it better, at least in my humble opinion. Nice review though.

    I feel bad for the next generation of people who have to live with the RAMS instead of the gods that were the 80's 90's Dodge Rams with the TRUE Cummins engines that couldn't die.

    • @Sheridantank
      @Sheridantank 9 лет назад +2

      In what way is the new cummins bad? My buddy bought a 2015(or 16 I don't remember) 3500 cummins and I see nothing to complain about. Pulls weight like it's nothing, sounds mean, huge anoints of torque, and still gets like 18mpg on highway. They're still great as cummins always is.

    • @MaxDudek
      @MaxDudek 9 лет назад

      +Sheridantank 18 mpg for a 3500? That's great!!

    • @TinyDrPhil
      @TinyDrPhil 9 лет назад

      +Sheridantank it does not last it will not last, an original Cummins will go for well over (and I've seen this) 630,000 miles without missing a lick they can be beaten to hell and back time and time and time again and they will keep kicking, they don't die. The new one's will pull don't get me wrong but the old one have a HELL of a lot longer life spam.

    • @TinyDrPhil
      @TinyDrPhil 9 лет назад

      +Sheridantank and as far as mpg the old 90's cummins could get 15+ easily.

    the gearbox it is not developed in collaboration with ZF, it is developed by ZF. Dodge/Ram has programed the gearbox for this engine, but that does not make a development collaboration.

    Awesome video as always. The lines on this truck are a little odd. Nothing really flows together, especially the lines on the front fenders. Looks strange. Anyway, why are trucks so expensive? Isn't their purpose to be simple and cheap for moving stuff? Not even talking about this truck specifically. All trucks have become more expensive than they should be in my opinion. Does it have to do with what Jay talked about in the Lambo LM002 video and manufacturers are using it as an excuse to overprice trucks? I honestly have no idea and am asking a legitimate question. I get that trucks come fully equipped now but $50,000 for a truck seems like a lot.

    Ah, one more thing: rear load area, it should have electrically actuated shutters (totally black and not aluminium color) for bad weather and consumtion.
