I just heard the Beatons playing it with the following title for that toon: Malcolm Finlay’s Reel. Is this the correct title. Are there other names? I enjoy the way that Cape Breton fiddlers begin Johnny Sullivan’s Reel with a G# and weave between major and minor. Ed Reavy and Paddy Fahy (Irish fiddler/composers) loved to do this too.
Peter, Buddy was on fire here.Do you have a title for the 2nd last reel in final set - the toon following “The Tarbolton” and preceding “Johnny Sullivan’s Reel”? It’s very catchy and sounds great after minor key. Thanks for your attention.
Hearing Buddy playing these reels is like finding the source of a mighty river.
The "reels" start at 2:16; before they are "strathspey reels" commonly called strathspeys.
I had pleasure of hearing buddy live at Caleigh in cape breton 2014 . Legendary!!
One of the all time greats....

Great but not Arthur Muise!
It's really not a competition, you know ......
Arthur and Buddy were on par with one another, if you had both of them at the same time you were in fiddle heaven...
