Hello, I just restarted my flight training to become a sport pilot. I had 10 hours, 4 years ago and now Im starting again. How long did it take for your first solo? By the way Ill be learning in the same aircraft as you!
As far as controlled airspace is concerned it is not required. That said, I am SO GLAD my instructor pushed me to get an endorsement for controlled fields. IMO it should be required.
I really love the emotional openness in these videos. You get to see what your true experience is rather than just the technical part of things.
My intention from the beginning. Thanks for watching.
I used to live in Waukegan when I was stationed at the navy base in Great Lakes. Awesome videos.
Thanks. My wife Sharon is a nurse and works at Great Lakes (James Lovell Health Care Center)
Love the videos! It's nice knowing that I wasn't the only one completely overwhelmed when flying in and out of controlled airspace lol.
Oh yes very intimidating. But worth it all!

Solo was about 20 hours. That was in a CTLS-not the easiest plane to fly. Good luck on your training.
Radio work is good to know, but it isn't required for sports pilot, is it?

@@bushcattom I can't disagree. At least you should know the basics.

Just keep going. You’re in for a great adventure
@@bushcattom Loving it.
what camera mount are you using for the wing camera? Also, how many hours before solo?
I made the mount myself. Attached it to the tie down ring
