- Phil Demmel is the guitarist in Kerry King's solo band, but he's also in Category 7, Metal Allegiance & BPMD. It was a long journey from the beginning of Bay Area Thrash with Vio-Lence to Machine Head to the many high profile fill-in gigs that led him to Kerry King's post-Slayer project.

Great job NB! 🤘🏼🤘🏼 Phil is our Bay Area gem 💎 🖤 #teamdemmel
Chucks awesome. He was always cool every single time I've hung out with him.
Today is 8/10/24. The Slayer/Bacchus show was on this date in 88. I remember because I was the singer for Bacchus! Played with Slayer again the next night at The Stone in SF. Great times!
Small world man! I think I knew your guitar player back then, which is why the name stuck with me and I forgot the other band lol I thought it was Slayer, Bacchus, Epidemic, but there was a 4th band! lol I know I saw, them, cause I remember waiting in line to get in first lol Ohhh faded memories!
@@NikkiBlakkThe other band who opened was Wrekking Machine from Santa Cruz. I still have their demo. Killer band!
Bullshit. Im a life long Slayer die hard and I'm very happy with Kerry King Band and he couldn't have picked better guys! Phil is such an amazing guitar to pick
Hey Philthy! Hey Nikki! Luv you both.
She couldn't have said it better. I'm so disappointed in Slayer fans but this is just the internet douches. Back in the day it wasn't like that
I bought every album phil was on with machine head only because of phil
Phil hanging doors with Mariano and John Souza.
This guy seems a quitter. Quit Machine Head, even quit his own band Vio-Lence. There's only so much you can quit before the word about you goes out "unFKNreliable". Kerry King shouldn't go all in on this guy, who knows, next thing the demanding diva gets fussy about his manicures and quits Kerry's band too.
Tell me you don't know Phil without telling me you don't know Phil.
@@NikkiBlakk Phil's actions speak for him. He quit everything and always blamed other people for stuff and never himself. That's never genuine. How is that genuine? Everyone knows there's two sides to every story and he don't have the whole truth, no one ever does. Why don't you invite Rob Flynn and Vio-Lence dudes, Sean Killian, maybe they got some stuff to say about Phil too. Oh, I'm sure they do! Anyway, madam, on that second note, you know Phil so well how? Does his wife know?
@@luisbovleck5173 BWHAHAHAHA! Of course his wife knows. Phil and I have been friends for decades. I like how you want to say his actions speak, but then go on to complain about his words. I can guarantee that I know more about the many sides to the Machine Head story than most, but also, Robb knows he's more than welcome to hit me up for an interview. We're pretty much neighbors.
