Our Misharasu Asian pear is incredibly productive. Fruit gets up to 2 lbs each, crunchy and delicious. I sell about 100 lbs a year to the local grocer, plus what we eat and give to friends, and are delicious dried. Be sure to thin, and prop the branches - I've had 2 break from being overloaded. Our Kosui is earlier, smaller, equally good. The biggest pest we have is bears, who have broken many branches, so I put out a motion activated sprinkler (see my bears eating pears and plums videos.)

I'm living in MN ( zone 4 B ). I got some Asian pear trees. I watched a lot of clips about pruning .
    I'm confusing about that.
What's different between summer pruning and winter pruning ? which one for more fruit and which one for shape
