    I believe the reason why they keep stopping is because you have the lines meeting the station at a 45° angle. The trains are realistic in that they can't take such a sharp angle at full speed, so they have to stop and slowly turn around.
    You can usually change the orientation of a line with a bit of jiggering.

    The thing to grasp in order to rock this challenge is that most stations are circles or triangles, and most journeys from circles go to triangles and vice-versa. Avoiding blocks with circles without triangles in them (or vice-versa) are a much bigger problem than more track or areas without squares, etc. in them.

    The reason circles work well is because, for example, if there was a non circular route and there was an overcrowding station. Imagine everyone wanted to go to a square but the only 2 remaining stations were circles. You would have to wait for the train to go to the end of the line and come back before picking it up. But when you have a circle, the trains just pick up the max amount of passengers! Hope you understand!

    • @louie-laur
      @louie-laur 9 лет назад

      Circles are best. Trains will only pick up passengers if their station type is on the current path. Circles ensure there is always a matching station type on the path and the train doesn't have to turn around to pick them up.

    Xisuma! This has bothered me for a long time. It must be better to have the trains all go in the same direction! It must give a more constant flow. If they go different ways, two trains will meet, which means that only half the line will get trains for some time. This must be why you first had problems at the right, then left and then right again.
    TL:DR, it must be better to have the trains go one way.

After Lenin's death, they named it to Leningrad, and in 1991, the people of Saint Petersburg has voted about the renaming. :D quite funny I think. In my country(Hungary), in the communist era, we had Leninváros and Sztálinváros, which could be translated as Lenincity and Stalincity. These were our first industry cities.(They named them Dunaújváros and Tiszaújváros after 1991, Duna and Tisza are the biggest rivers of Hungary)
