Bipolar Disorder is usually over-diagnosed. Dr.Imran Sharif talks at Psychiatry Clinic about bipolar Disorder in Urdu. He gave an overview, basic concepts and resolved some myths about Bipolar Disorder
bipolar disorder is the type of psychiatric illness that is characterized by two extreme phases of mood.
one phase is called Mania and the other phase is called depression
in manic phase of bipolar disorder the patient is very very energetic. he considered himself special. there are frequent ideas about self importance and grandiosity in manic phase of bipolar disorder.
The other phase of this disorder is called depression. in this face the patient is sad, lethargic and lazy. he consider himself worthless and inferior.
treatment of bipolar disorder is little bit complex. this is because we have to deal with three phases
1. manic phase
2. depressive phase
3. remission phase
treatment for manic phase of bipolar disorder is different from that of depressive phase. Similarly treatment of bipolar disorder in remission phase is also different
the mainstay of treatment of bipolar disorder is the use of medicines. for manic phase treatment can be antipsychotics, mood stabilizers or both
for depressive phase of bipolar Disorder it is little bit complex
switching in other phase while treating the one phase is also possible
carefull evaluation and monitoring of treatment is required by treating psychiatrist

پہلی نظر میں دیکھنے میں ایسا لگتا ہے کہ جیسے یہ اچھی بات ہے۔ عبادت کرنا اچھی بات ہے نماز پڑھنا اچھی بات ہے۔
لیکن بائی پولر کی بیماری میں شدت اتنی زیادہ ہوتی ہے کہ یہ ساری چیزیں انسان اپنے کنٹرول سے نہیں کر رہا ہوتا۔
مثلا اگر آپ بے وقت نماز پڑھ رہے ہیں۔ بغیر وضو کے نماز پڑھ رہے ہیں۔ نمازوں میں رکعت کا حساب نہ رکھ رہے ہو۔ مذہب کی طرف رجحان بڑھ جاتا ہے اس بیماری میں لیکن ربط نہیں ہوتا۔
ٹھیک ہے کہ پیسہ خرچ کرنا۔ لیکن پیسہ ضائع کر دینا۔ ساری پراپرٹی بیچ دی۔ اور ضائع کر دی۔ یعنی اس خرچ کرنے میں بھی اس کا کنٹرول نہیں رہتا۔ جب کنٹرول نہیں ہوگا تو بے ربط خرچ کرے گا۔
