This sounds like the music that would play as you are passing through into the after life and you are looking back on all of the great memories and times you’ve had but at the same time sad that you’re leaving those very same people that gave you such happiness now that you’re passing on
Gershon Kingsley was born in 1922, October 28th, Germany. Today May 22nd, 2019, if there are no other news right now, Mr. Kingsley is still alive, respectfully 96 years old, or young!
I neverknew he had passed away that is so sad. The pioneer of trance music created by Gershon Kingsly. R I P your music will live on. 😎👍❤👍only this last week or two did i see him talkiing about popcorn on youtube aswell how strange ❤❤
@@ervini after listening to it again and again i am quite sure it IS the original version of popcorn. Still sounds way ahead of its time. I hope that's of some help to you. 😎👍😎👍
This is one of the few songs that make me feel a sense of wonder. It is also one of the few songs that I have discovered recently that I really really like. A masterpiece.
This certainly floats my boat in many ways. Firstly i was born late 60's and secondly this is where trance music was born. Like people keep saying its way ahead of its time even in Dec 2019. So uplifting but not long enough. Oh well. Love it to bits. 😎👍😎👍
When they said artists like Mozart were way ahead from thei era...so did this man. And after listening to this (is this really the original version?) we can confirm that , and now more than eve when it seems that we are going downhill way to fast
Well, if you heard the 1972 version of this song made by Gershon Kingsley and The First Moog Quartet (which became the template for Hot Butter's cover), then it would be no surprise for you :)
The original version is a water theme. So crazy frog had a tribute to that. My favourite unoriginal versions I've heard so far are the Boomtang Boys microwave mix version (sounds a bit like Robert Miles) and M&H long version.
Doesnt sound like the original at all. How comes? Where is the radio edit, we all have in memory? Original is here: ruclips.net/video/rzZSsCKfLvM/видео.html
The version you have in your memory was injected by the radio stations because it was commercial, the original was too incomprehensible to the ears of the common people, this one the original version is a million times better than the popular version of 72

De belles paroles vous avez, c'est très bien dit. Thx
It's a masterpiece. The first electronic song of the History of the Music.
No, it isn't the first electronic song
Not the first one by a long shot

My goal in life is likeing every single Pop Corn video on RUclips! Here's yours!!

I really like it but hear it as a remix in fact
Hard to believe the first electronic pop music being soooo old. Gershon Kingsley, you're the real artist :)

I love this song so much, listening carefully at high volume feels like an acid trip
Rip to legend and Master of first techno electronica music from Germany and USA Gershon Kingsley Good morning of the Sunday of January of Greece!
Thank you, Kingsley, for being such a great pioneer.
this is the Music That You hear In The Gates of Heaven.
Good idea, I'll make it so.
This is the music I hear when I listen to jean michel jarre's oxygene part 4.
And Sparks' song 'No One Song In Heaven', recorded 1978, released 1979 in March, produced by Giorgio Moroder.
This sounds so cool and kinda freaky too. Great stuff.
Brilliant - years ahead of it's time
This needs good headphones to fully appreciate.
Very good quality.
this is the music that inspire Jean Michel Jarre
WOAH THE QUALITY
Totally superb

Gershon Kingsley: love you. Yoy forged my favorit sogn
Wow this is excellent. Now that I hear this I can't stand what Hot Butter did to this song. I always considered it a tacky song until I heard this.
He just made it true pop
no pun intended

I'm here because Daft Punk broke up. It makes sense to me.
Thats a great composition
In Kingsleys own words it was a result of experimenting with Bach‘s Inventions on the Keyboards
