- Hello everyone, today’s video is a little bit different to what I usually upload, although I have filmed plenty of videos in the same style as this they do usually have a Voice-over but last year I found myself watching a few ‘Silent Vlogs’ and I loved how they made me feel. If you haven’t watched the video yet and are unfamiliar with silent vlogs, they’re not literally silent, there is sound and music there’s no narration through voice. I suppose it’s a bit like a form of ASMR. You can read some of my thoughts on screen if you wish and if you are able, but they’re not essential to understanding the video, the visuals will tell the story. In a world where we are so used to absorbing a different piece of content every few seconds this vlog is designed to slow the pace.
Creating digital content is our full time job and has been for the last 8 years, and it was mine part time for another 5 years before that. As any creative will tell you it’s important to try new things, to experiment, learn new skills and challenge yourself to avoid feeling stale and to keep the creative juices flowing. This video is exactly that, the concept is nothing new or groundbreaking but it’s something I haven’t done before and something I felt that I wanted to try. Now that I have I can say that I really enjoyed the process of making this video. I also enjoyed creating a video that’s not all about products and ‘things’ but more so the simple pleasures in life. I realise that many of you follow me for fashion and/or home renovation videos and they won’t stop but I also need to create videos that I enjoy creating and that feed my soul as a creative person, so I will also be doing some more silent vlogs.

Have watched a couple of ASMR videos Emma and enjoyed them but replacing “talk” with music is much better. Loved the content and I do regard this as ASMR. Just lovely and more please.

I loved it, been into silent vlogs for a little while now, and the bloggers I watched usually mix them with some lifestyle content "with the voice" as well so it seems very harmonious to me. I hope you guys will continue to enjoy making them. The only issue I personally can think of is that process is probably a bit different from a result we see in a way that it's not as stressless and soothing but as long as you're okay with he difference, it doesn't bother me as a "consumer" :)

I enjoyed this video much more than fashion videos tbh, I’m following you for years Emma but I kinda outgrown fashion and I realized I’m watching a lot of Asian RUclipsrs making this type of videos and omg your home aesthetics and colors and combinations are beyond chic and calming. Please continue with this type of videos apparently whatever you do and decide to do is somehow top notch ❤😂
I think that naturally as we get older we can form interests in other things. I personally love fashion and still have the same passion for it but I don’t feel the need or want to talk about it every week. Thank you for watching and I’m thrilled that you enjoyed todays video, there will be many more like this to come and now the snow has gone we can get out and show more of the countryside 💚

So funny you mentioned Asian RUclipsrs. I watch a lot as well and was thinking the same thing about the similar style. Loved the video, Emma. I enjoy the diversity of your content. My most enjoyable ones are the lifestyle bits. I also watch a lot of Anime and have gotten pretty good at reading subtitles really fast. However, thank you for leaving them long enough to absorb. Nice and slow....💕

I love these snowy mornings, and our fireplace, and a good cup of tea to start the day. The doggos are looking well and happy, so good to see them. I love this quiet style of video, so calming and familiar. No need for a voiceover, this lets me sink right into the start of the day, and the cosy moments. I had so many people saying they missed the vlogs so I’ve been thinking of ways that I can share some snippets without it affecting me negatively in the way that sharing the old vlogs used to. Creating this video fed my soul as a creative person so it’s definitely a format I can work with on future vlogs ❤️

We haven't had much snow this winter, but yesterday I woke up to a dusting and it felt so good to see the light covering. I do love these kinds of vlogs, too. I have a few I'm subbed to. Good job you two! The snow was a huge plus with the squirrels running about and the dogs excited to get out there and enjoy it, too. I hope we see more of these.
After a tough week, finding this video has helped regain some zen. 🐕 are adorable. My cat likes to sit by me or on the windowsill chittering at the birds. I often take the mick and ask him when "come here so I can eat you" has ever worked 😏

House looking good! I fluff the pillows on my bed and fold duvet nicely at the botyom of the bed because you have to let your mattress air out to avoid dust mites! It is a way of keeping your mattress "clean" per say
We air out the mattress for a full day on a Sunday when we also flip it. We have air circulating underneath as it’s not a solid bed base ☺️ x

We will definitely show some more countryside in future silent vlogs. We would have loved to get the drone up in this one but we hadn’t planned for snow and unfortunately that meant we couldn’t leave the house as the roads hadn’t been gritted 🙈

I know the camera adds 10lbs but that’s the fattest pigeon I’ve ever seen! 😂 lovely calming video to watch over breakfast (about the trudge out in the frozen lakes leftover from last week’s snow!)
Haha it’s a Wood Pigeon, they’re much larger than the ones you see in city areas. They’re very clumsy too so it’s really cute to watch them bumbling about 🙊 Last year we had a pair nest in our garden in a bush just outside our office and they had 2 chicks that successfully left the nest 😍 They return to the same nest so we hope to see them again this year ☺️
