Great job trying out anyway Ellie! Always keep giving 100% no matter what the coaches tell you, that makes you stand out if you’re not negative! Stay positive there’s more chances in life and don’t let it knock you! If you wanna play the sport keep trying but if you wanna just be on a team with your friends then maybe you find something that doesn’t require age groups!
or sports I feel like sports are fun with friends but don't just play it to be with friends
i tried to try out for basketball because my friends were all playing and BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. i was so bad. just got made fun of for getting put on jv while my friends were on the varsity team
ellie- as someone who played softball through high school, i learned that the years where you end up being the oldest on the team are so important. i know it feels disappointing, but try to look at this as an opportunity!! you can really develop leadership skills for the younger girls, and also get more game experience to improve rather than sitting on the bench not playing on the older team. your throws and batting form look great, which is an awesome start!!
i needed this! by birthday month is a few months to short for 14u and all of my friends on 14u but this makes me feel better about my team this season!
if ellie puts in effort they’ll let her be a swing player on the 14 u team and probably get play time, tell her to keep her head up!!!

Baseball is a pretty easy sport to learn! I'm assuming softball isn't much different
Also advice for Ellie, look at it this way, you will be one of the older girls on the team and maybe stand out! You seem like a natural player too! Hope you have a great season!

It’s ok Ellie!! I did softball growing up and one year I got put with a bunch of girls younger than me just cause I wasn’t that great and I felt so left out cause I was the oldest on the team, but you’ll get better the more you do it and eventually you’ll be able to get bumped up to better teams!!

That is really nice of Emma’s boyfriend to go to Ellie’s tryout to support her, also am assuming it’s because she’s entering her teen years but Ellie always seems kind of moody now or maybe she’s just camera shy
I think she’s pretty bummed out about what happen with softball which is understandable and worked really hard.
Im confused so ellie is still 12 soon to be 13 and was wanting to be on a 14u team? She really should stay with her age group . My son played travel ball his whole life then high-school and college. The younger years is what forms them she really should be with her age.From what i saw she did great 👍 👌 👏
