The Terry Reid album is superb, great singer and superb singer-songwriter. He deserved much more recognition. I know that as of late last year he was still touring UK venues
Slightly tangential, but have been listening to Tony Rice since a Whatnot viewer mentioned him yesterday and he’s been a revelation. Grateful there is always so much wonderful music to discover - and learn about plenty here! Keep up the great work Dillon!

Many years ago I was able to acquire the limited edition Galactic Ramble Expanded Edition book from Richard, the book you showed reminded of it as it's a beast book! I don't think I've ever seen it in the wild, so I wouldn't know about the condition. Fields is under rated, and can be had on the cheap. Doctor Down Trip cover reminds me of the JPT Scare Band one. Pacific Sound has been on my want list as well for quite some time, it's been reissued. McPhee same deal. I'll definitely purchase your exclusive when it's released. Stone Circus I like everything about. Old Man & Sea smoker. Can't go wrong with Freddie King or any Blues records these days. Ancient Grease original WOW! Outstanding lp. Florain Geyer I'll have to check out. Very cool books, I love books. I've been digging deep into Acid Archives of late. Awesome finds, per usual. Peace.
Finally some love for Terry! That is hands down my favorite album by him. The Black Crowes obviously were inspired by him. You can really hear it on their great LP "Before the Frost...Until the Freeze." Especially on the track "Brave Awakenings" that you mentioned. I'm really surprised you didn't catch that or mention it.
I once found two copies of Seed of Memory at a fleamarket. They were stuck together because of waterdamage. The covers were beyond salvation, so I left them there. Luckily I already had an excellent copy, cut out American pressing. Your story sounded so familiar.

Hello, Dillon. In regards to the water damage that you have found on your Terry Reed albums, it’s most likely due to the fact that so many people stored their albums in basements and usually near the hot water tank. When those tanks went out and began leaking water, all of their albums would get saturated! That’s why you usually find them with the lower portions with that ugly water stain. Then of course, you get that horrible, musty odor from the mildew that later forms on the covers. Great video once again! Walter

Dillon, Seed of Memory is also a favorite of mine. Believe it or not, my mom and I once found 3 copies of Seed of Memory in the same thrift store, same day. All of the covers were damaged to some degree, but the worst of the three had part of Terry's face on the front cover ripped off, as you described! Also, one of the records (a WLP) was cracked! But thankfully the other two were decent. I ended up selling the WLP with the worst cover, and I kept the other two. Maybe the materials that ABC was using for its album covers at the time are just prone to sticking to other covers if there is even a hint of moisture. With the Seed of Memory copies, there was also a copy of his Rogue Wave which also had the tearing/ ring wear. I am guessing they had been stored in a basement and got wet at some point.

I always click on your videos but seeing Seed of Memory made me click a little faster. I actually lucked out many years ago and got a white label promo copy on eBay for cheap. I wasn’t available when the bids were ending so I just threw one out there with like an hour to go and somehow won for around $30. Great record and my copy’s cover looks like yours just without the writing - no real damage, just some wear.

My Terry Reid quagmire is the self titled. In 35 years of collecting, I never found a clean one. Seed of memory is awesome asi is the Lothar. I think Fields had some people that ended up on the Yahowa records.
Seed of Memory is difficult to find here in the UK. When it can be found it’s not especially cheap. Lovely record though as is the album released prior to this “ River “ . That record was on the Atlantic label as opposed to “Seed” which was ABC records and prob
I was lucky enough to meet Terry when he played a gig at Bury Met here in the UK. It was Terry and his bassist only. He was in great voice. Bought him a pint and he bought the ride me one back! Terry was on the cover of a seventies UK fanzine called FAT ANGEL which he signed for me . He was horrified by the cover pic which he said made him look like Charles Manson. A perfect gentleman and one of rock’s under the radar vocalists.
I wish Reid and Page would just work together now since Plant is out of the picture. And Reid help Nash on his first solo album Songs For Beginners. Shame Reid still seems unknown to most music fans.
I used to be of the mindset to only keep one copy of every given title, but I am not anymore. I enjoy having duplicates. Each copy is a little different. I also like having mono and stereo copies of records so you can really hear the difference between them and get new perspectives. No shame in holding onto dup.

I met the lead singer Chris Meyer from Pacific Sound a few years ago. I invited him for a few beers at our local tavern. He lives 10 miles away from me. Yes, I do own a mint copy on Splendid Records that I found 30 years ago, and to my surprise he told me he has not even 1 copy for himself !!! Crazy !!!
