I know her! She’s lovely! I reached out to her last year about mushroom farming. She’s amazing! I’m so proud of her and the work she does. Thank you Gus for another great episode. As always I learnt a lot!
Thanks. Chido is a superstar, and she just gets on does things without any fuss or noise. As you say, an amazing person. Lucky me to have her as my neighbour!
Gus thank you for this, I have watched some of your videos of African 🌱 plants , I am into Beauty & Wellness in Uk am really interested in more information, how can I get hold of you .
Hello Gus and Chido. ( as you can see Gus I am slowly making my way through your library lol.). This got me wondering since Mucuna is in the family Fabaceae how good of a nitrogen fixer is it/ could it be. If it is good at fixing nitrogen I could see it making an excellent companion plant! the extra shade and transpiration, I would guess even helps to keep the farm and other crops cooler.
You're doing a great job getting through the library! You're absolutely right, by the way. Mucuna is a good nitrogen fixer and therefore a very good companion crop. A fair amount of research has been done on its nitrogen fixing properties in various different countries around the world, so for sure it works!

Growing commercially and indoors are interesting. Writing about them in journals is a great addition to scientific knowledge.
Thanks Ross!
