This is a big favourite of mine. Willie Nelson wrote this song, but by golly, Elvis sings this so much better. Giving the song meaning and oomph. You go Elvis! Very beautiful. 🥇🤗🎧🎸🎶
... if Willie Nelson would have been in August 1969 in the audience ... and watch his song REALLY SUNG :-) BY THE KING - Willie would have been blown away ....
Such a great country song with bluesy feel by Elvis that has relaxing vibe!!...I prefer The RCA Master sounding more moving, weighty and deeper to The Live Rendition sung in a bit higher Key and at a little faster tempo, although his songs are all great throughout 22 minutes and 5 seconds. And the band's great long playing part is very impressive. Thanks Leon for this beautiful share!! 💜💜°°🩵🩵°°❤️🩹❤️🩹
Yeah! The 1969 and 1970 and 1971 sessions ---- the markstone of THE ENTERTAINMENT WORLD! Could crawle into the cable and speakers to be there .... at the SESSIONS OF THE MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE! SO LUCKY HUMANS - THEY WERE THERE! I would pay all prizes to go back in the time machine to be witness of these sessions and edore ELVIS PRESLEY SUPERSTAR! (It is a pitty, that Elvis needed just one take for this super version of him!)
@@CowboyManMusic Totally agree. I’d have loved to watch the 68 Special/ 69 start in Vegas & of course the 70’s Vegas concerts. Maybe when we have our own virtual reality glasses, we can watch Elvis like we are really there. 😂😂🎸🕺🏻🎤🥰
I could write about Elvis all day and night long :-) For me it is soooo a big pitty: On WHOLE LOTTA SHAKIN and FUNNY HOW TIME Elvis needed/did ONLY ONE TAKE!!!!! Oooooooo! I really love that 2 songs so much! I totally love his voice in these sessions 1969 - 1970 - 1971 - 1972 .... I mean HELP ME MAKE IT THROUGH THE NIiGHT! Pow! Wow! What should have said Kris Kristofferson after listening to Elvis´ version ... :-) .... I asked JAMES BURTON and GLEN D. (hard to tell but if they have to decide just really one periode ...) what time, what year they think Elvis was the best with his voice? THE SAID UNISONO: 1972! Further on ... " ... Wolfi ... as Elivs came out in 1972 on stage - and you know, we played till then already a lot with Elvis - we were really kind of terrified when Elvis shouted into the mic ... at Madisson Square Garden ... it was unreal ... he was at his very best! ... " ELVIS PRESLEY - THE MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE! ♥
♥ Only ONE Master Of The Universe: MISTER ELVIS PRESLEY SUPERSTAR! Imagine .... a human can perfectly do in the same time ..... songs like POLK SALAD ANNIE --- PATCH IT UP ----- JOHNNY B. GOODE ---- BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER ----- MISTERY TRAIN/TIGER MAN ---- YLTLF ----- I CAN´T STOP LOVING YOU ---- WHOLE LOTTA SHAKING GOING ON ---- and then in the middle that PERFECT VERSION of a song which is in the original totally different (!!!!!) I love Elvis Presley till the rest of my life on this planet! EVEN IF YOU TAKE JUST THAT SONG HERE ---- YOU HAVE TO FEEL: This man is the unbelieveable ENTERTAINER OF ALL TIMES IN THIS UNIVERSE! ::::: I am soooo sorry - that Elvis needed just this only try - this only one take for that song!!!!!! I would love to hear more studio takes and versions and tries of this pearl of Elvis undubbed sessions!!!!
That 1969 live recording is awesome! I've heard it before but never with Elvis interacting with the audience between this song and "Runaway"! That was a real unexpected bonus & treat! Thank you, thank you, thank you so very much for sharing, Leon! You rock 🎶🎸🎶🙌💃🌹🔥🔥💯 TCB ⚡ & TLC ❤ & peace ✌& blessings 🙏 to you & yours & to one & all here as well 💕
Everything comes together in the rca-master (album version as released at Elvis Country). The whole sphere of this song is amazing. The longer instrumental break is great, ending with Elvis singing Gotta go now......
Thanks again Leon for another great video! It just goes to show Elvis doesn't need a whole lot of production to make a great song. I think Chips understood this better than Felton. I could be wrong. Anyway, would you please a video on the '68 version of Let Yourself Go? The duet really takes the song up a notch. You already know what you're doing.
Love the original FJ mix/production, but the last iteration sounded like karaoke. The Nashville section was far superior. Norbert Putnam- bass. Jerry Carrigan-drums/percussion. David Briggs-piano. Charlie McCoy-harmonica/vibes, possibly Hammons B-3. Last, but not least- James Burton on guitar and resonator guitar/dobro.

Time does slip away when listening to elvis music
The instrumentation with
Elvis ‘s vocals is amazing 🤩 then he adds the backing vocals to crest Presley genius!

Never noticed before “ I’m 10,000 years old” above the title!! Elvis was, I think, a time traveller and very old soul! 👌💕🕺

He recorded so many songs from June 4th to the 9th. It certainly was like a marathon. It became three albums out of these recordings. 😊❤ Thanks Leon.
