The SMB takes you right along with them as they play “The Series” - a storied tradition that happens prior to each home football game - while marching from Adams Field to Spartan Stadium.

So great to see The Series performed like this. I was part of the bass drummers group that created the pivot moves in the second section of The Series in the way back - 1976!

First as a student and then an alum, I always loved watching MSU's marching band during the games. They are the best!!!

I was in that band! A lot of hard work including band camp at Interlochen six weeks before school started, but some of my best memories of Michigan State. Have a great year, SMB!
Inspiring! I was a graduate student in the College of Education, Erickson Hall, in the 1980's. It doesn't get better than this; nor memories of a bygone era back in the day ...

I love how they almost exclusively show off the drumline. they don't cut to a single clip of the full band playing. these guys have their priorities straight

Trumpeter 1: I learned the trumpet for 10 years in school.
Trumpeter 2: I can't play the trumpet but I can play with it.
Recruiter: Trumpeter 2, you're hired.
Fun fact, no trumpet twirling was in the audition packet. All the series is learned during preseason after the members make it
