Very underrated song in my opinion. I wish this album, and esspecialy this song were more popular
i just wish they actually did a songs off their albums BEFORE Comatose
I guess it makes sense though. Skillet didn't really start getting popular until comatose (which is gold) and Awake (which went platinum.) Sad that awake was the one to hit platinum since it's their worst one IMO. Though I haven't listened to anything prior to collide.
TheNerdyGinger i can't really say what i think is the worst one, because they're all musically very different. "Skillet" was very grunge like, "Hey You, I Love Your Soul" was still pretty grunge like but also had some of that industrial influence creeping from "Invincible" and "Alien Youth," the former of which was pretty solidly industrial based while "Alien Youth" was still pretty industrial but was also seeing a little more nu metal influence from guys like Linkin Park, "Collide" pretty much was a Linkin Park record minus the rap influences and a symphonic metal influence, "Comatose" was all on symphonic rock with influences from folks Evanescence, and i think "Awake" was definitely pure alt metal like Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin. I haven't listened to "Rise" yet, but i find the choppy house/dubstep influence on "sick of it" to be VERY troubling
Really? I LOVE Sick of It. That song always gets me pumped up, especially when I watch the music video. Rise has some more electronics on it, but I actually enjoy electronics in rock. As long as it doesn't overshadow the guitars. For other songs on Rise, I'd recommend at least checking out Not Gonna Die, and Circus For A Psycho.
TheNerdyGinger i'm generally not a fan of electronic music in the first place, but i can tolerate it somewhat and even like it depending on the artist, but dubstep is a thing i just can't enjoy
Collide is my favorite album. I love the heaviness.

because it's a very old song. They can play it, I guess. It's just improbable... I've already been in two shows of them and this song is not even close to be part of the setlist. Too bad!

Exactly, I already saw both that you mentioned, but Collide never again. The last time that I remember seeing this song live was in a show of Comatose tour. Unfortunatelly, there wasn't any shows of this tour on my country.
Lucas Leonel I was fortunate enough to see them live in 2010 when they toured with Tobymac in Spring of that year and I'm pretty sure they played it... In fact they played a lot from Collide that night! It was a great show, it was when Ben and Jonathan Chu were still in the band. Both of them added such a great presence to the band, especially Ben! I saw them two more times, once in 2012 and again in 2015 and I can tell you, it was bad both of those times. Just bad performances. Their last two albums show the loss of Both Ben and Jonathan. I've decided I won't see another Skillet show... For one I'm not wanting to watch John struggle to sing as that just saddens my heart listening to him like that, and I don't really want to pay to listen to that newer music live.....
Ever since Johnathan Chu left the band you don't see the symphonic metal/rock stuff anymore :(
