What are some of your least favorite Rock & Metal albums of 2024? Let me know below! BTW that might be my all time favorite thumbnail... I'm just waiting for the "only clown here is you" comments lol
Cover Killer Nation got me to know about Six Feet Under. His rants on the albums from 2015-2017 are hilarious. He walked so that a lot of those music channels like you can run. He's unfortunately not doing new videos anymore, but I hope he's doing well for himself
2024 was such a hit-and-miss year for music 1. Mick Mars - The Other Side of Mars 2. Bon Jovi - Forever 3. Simone Simons - Vermillion (This one hurts since I love Simone) 4. Nightmare - Encrypted 5. Slash - Orgy of the Damned 6. John Carpenter - Lost Themes IV (This one also hurts) 7. Pearl Jam - Dark Matter 8. Anvil - One and Only I didn't listen to Falling in Reverse, which is why it's not on this list. I also did not listen to Motley Crue in it's entirety
Totally agree on Anvil… terrible record! Wild that Bon Jovi’s new album fell off the face of the earth after the first couple weeks. Slash doing the blues was weird.
@ i actually am all for him dropping singles rather than making full albums and focusing all his effort into one song. i feel like he is better off when making singles and gets more respect for that.
@@DaMustaine It's really interesting... the music business in general seems to have shifted away from full length albums for singles and EPs instead. If not for the vinyl resurgence, I doubt a lot of modern bands would made full length physical copies of albums at all.
New Mick Mars was… underwhelming. New Motley Crue EP was a joke. I gave up on Bon Jovi years ago. And the Slippery When Wet concert growing up was one of the best I’ve ever seen. New Slash was a snoozer. Fortunately lots of good stuff out there to pick up the slack.
The Motley Crue EP was the biggest waste of time of the year. The new Slash wasn’t great… I thought Slash doing the blues thing would be cool, but in execution it was pretty boring.
Yeah that Falling In Reverse album was..... not good lol Neither was Canceled, and honestly i haven't listened to the other 3 you mentioned here I've been trying to put together my top 5 of the year today, though there are some good albums, 24 was significantly less strong than the last 2 years imo.
2024 was definitely not as strong for Rock as the past few years. Metal had a good year IMO, although there weren’t a ton of high profile releases. I’ve given up on Falling In Reverse ever getting better. I don’t want to dislike them, but Ronnie Radke has regressed with every new release since their debut IMO
@TheCDGuyJZ I've got about 5 albums this year I'm really happy with, plus a few honorable mentions, but last year was deeper for rock imo And i never really knew much about Falling In Reverse until this year...sampling that new album was my first exposure to them.... and....ehh lol
Looking forward to your year end picks! I definitely wouldn’t recommend Popular Monster… then again, I wouldn’t recommend Falling In Reverse at all lol
Definitely agree with all on your worst of list. I'd also add the Anvil and As I Lay Crying albums to the worst of 2024. Look forward to your best of video.
Totally agree with your picks. As I Lay Crying is hilarious… I call them As I Lay Quitting, but I like yours’ better 😂 That band is a sinking ship… couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.
that intro 😂 I like how all over the place Popular Monster is but it sounds rather over-produced and I think the lack of guitar melodies sort of ruins it, the tracks Bad Guy and Trigger Warning didn't do much for me so if I remade the track listing it would be this though I still can't make it great: 1.) Prequel 2.) Popular Monster 3.) Watch the World Burn 4.) Happy Ending (likely a Coming Home demo) 5.) Zombified 6.) Ronald 7.) Voices in My Head 8.) All My Life 9.) So What (likely a Coming Home demo) 10.) No Fear 11.) Last Resort (Reimagined) Also how is Mötley Crüe still even relevant?!
Would you believe I’ve been waiting to use that clown music for 3 months?! 😂 I like your track listing… it still doesn’t save the album, but it’s better without Bad Guy and Trigger Warning because those songs are terrible. Motley Crue manage to stay somewhat relevant coasting on overpriced boxsets and stadium tours with like 4 other bands on the bill with them lol
My worst albums of 2024 [and this list will have a few from "Is It That Bad", four of them I was involved in]: Dishonorable mentions: Pearl Jam-Dark Matter Slash-Orgy of the Damned Eminem-The Death of Slim Shady [Coup de Grace] Actual list: 10. Ministry-Hopiumforthemasses [another Ministry album, another spot on the worst list] 9. Green Day-Saviors 8. Linkin Park-From Zero [Emily Armstrong's vocals are NAILS ON A CHALKBOARD!] 7. The Offspring-Supercharged 6. Katy Perry-143 5. Six Feet Under-Killing for Revenge 4. Motley Crue-Cancelled EP 3. Inquisition-Veneration of Medieval Mysticism and Cosmological Violence [Dagon is a VILE POS that doesn't deserve any attention!] 2. Falling in Reverse-Popular Monster And #1 for the worst album of 2024 goes to... *Marilyn Manson-One Assassination Under God: Chapter 1*
I don't understand people's love of Inquisition, besides the creep as a member the music is crap in my opinion. Ministry have'nt done anything decent since Psalm 69, Don't even bother checking out their new stuff anymore. The Offspring had a new album? Thankfully I missed that :) (I do like Smash).
I liked that album. It's actually going to be on my best metal of 2024 list. Compare that to what Motley Crue did without him this year and it's night and day.
@ I THOUGHT IT HAD ONE DECENT SONG, THE REST HAD THIS AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!! MODERN ROCK VIBE THAT SOUNDED LIKE SHIT. SORT OF GLAD HE’S OUT OF MOTLEY. HE DOESN’T HAVE IT ANYMORE

That dude is a legend. I’ve definitely stolen a few of his ideas. He was the original Metal RUclipsr.
The Canceled cd single is a good coaster for drinks
Haha for sure 😂

I also put my Top 10 worst AOY and we have a few in Common
Cool! I’ll check your video out!
i actually love the new falling in reverse album, but i guess i can see why some people may not like it
It's not my thing, but I'm glad you enjoy it! God knows Falling In Reverse fans waited long enough for a proper new album lol
Normally I wouldn’t like that style, but for some weird reason I love their new album
Great picks! Motley is probably my pick for worst of 2024.
That Crue EP is a waste of time and money… I was going to put their Dr Feelgood boxset on this list too but didn’t want to go double Crue lol
Excellent review. I"m from the Caribbean and always enjoy your videos. I hope Kerry King makes the top best 5 with his new album.
Thanks so much! The new Kerry King album was awesome… will definitely be on my best Metal of 2024 list! 🤘
The new Nightwish was terrible.
Hope it grows on you! I loved it, personally. I know some people were underwhelmed by it tho

Revolution has grown on me quite a bit. In my opinion it's Skillet's best album in at least ten years.
Glad you enjoy it! Hopefully it grows on me too.

ACDC are finally announce the tour on Monday
I saw the leak for a show in Cleveland. We’ll see if Monday is finally the day. 🤞
@@TheCDGuyJZ if it is true for Cleveland i might go i only live 20-30 Mins away from Cleveland but tickets might be expensive

Same here. Top worst album
My worst albums of 2024 [and this list will have a few from "Is It That Bad", four of them I was involved in]:

2. Falling in Reverse-Popular Monster
And #1 for the worst album of 2024 goes to...
*Marilyn Manson-One Assassination Under God: Chapter 1*
I knew Manson would be your #1 lol
I’ve really soured on the new Ministry album… I saw them live this past summer and the new stuff sounded awful.
@@TheCDGuyJZ What are your thoughts on the Linkin Park album?
I love it. I don’t mind Emily’s voice personally.
@@jasonjames6383 In my review on the new Marilyn Manson, I said that he is the R. Kelly of hard rock!
WHY DID YOU FORGET THE MICK MARS ALBUM? THE ALBUM CAME OUT IN 2024.
I liked that album. It's actually going to be on my best metal of 2024 list. Compare that to what Motley Crue did without him this year and it's night and day.
