- In this video, I will discuss all the reasons why no one wants to live in Ireland anymore, and why a lot of people emigrate from Ireland.
From economic crises to severe housing shortages and government policy failures. This is the Dark Side Of Ireland.
Having lived abroad for decades I returned to Ireland. Despite working and doing everything I could do to live there I gave up and left. Ireland is being mismanaged by a political elite completely out of touch and inept.
Fact 👍
I don't disagree with you
Most wealthy landlord s are politicians 💪☘️🇮🇪🇬🇧💪
The polititions ARE the landlords. They're never going to hurt themselves.
My daughter has been waiting for over a year to be granted a license to practice as a clinical podiatrist. She was offered a dream job at her local hospital but has been forced to go to Australia for work because the licensing agency won’t get on with issuing her a licence. It is tragic for her and for the poor people of Ireland who are unnecessarily having their limbs amputated 😢
@@PatsyTakken is there a reason why HSE does not recognise your daughters qualifications?
Everything in this country is a beuracratic mess ... same with me as a phlebotomist except with insurance
@@fionafromireland1054 no it’s is insane, the hospital are desperate for her to start, she trained in the British nhs and has 9 years experience working with the flying doctors in Australia and they just keep on asking for the same information over and over and she keeps sending it in as does her university and they just keep dragging their heels and not giving her the license. It is a senior position she has been offered so the clinical staff have complete faith in her ☹️
@@PatsyTakken It doesn't make sense to me. Would it help to contact HSE and request to meet the relevant person and put her case to them.
Politicians and their families own multiple properties along with guards. Not building suits house owners and their assets.
Someone close to me earns a respectable salary in Dublin, yet can't find a place to live of their own.
No one can. We have the highest rate of people living at home with their parents in Europe. Something like 40% of those under35 years old are and under 30 it's something like 60% these are all adults doesn't include children. Myself and my fiance love with my parents so we can save up for a home, otherwise we would never be able to get a home both have good jobs
@@yagsipcc287 crazy that countries with much lower employment rate have a lower rate of adults living with their parents than Ireland.
Tell them there js a 1 bed in cedar brook in ballyfermot for 180k
@@Prodrentjet Yeah we have one of the highest rates if not the highest.
It wasn't Euro in 1995 , it was the punt , Big difference, My father bought a 4 bed in westport in 1986 for 16k punt
OUTLAW Airbnb .
Maybe first close their European HQ which of course is in Dublin.
Ireland looks like a colony of India, and the UK looks like a colony of Pakistan
Exactly
And gov want to import +2 million in the future, crazy stuff
What ridiculous hyperbole.

You also have the problem of large companies buying up affordable housing and inflating the price for rent and keeping houses as commodities instead of what they arr for, for people to live
Elephant in the room W E L F A R E M I G R A N T S
The left wing liberal elite element cheers this migration and presents them as 2 dimensional vapour people who don’t pressure resources in Ireland. Working class (abandoned by the left) protests are dismissed as racist.
Gibs me dat.
It's easy to be angry at the ones who are the most vulnerable, but this is simply wrong.
Migrants are more often than not a net positive for the welfare system, particularly in developed countries with aging populations.
Think about it; do you really think that all of a sudden all wealthy countries experienced a sudden wave of migration to the point of not having space for everyone? Come on.
People get angry and want revenge, not a solution.
There is a crisis in parts of Ireland known as the mica crisis where brick manufacturers had made substandard materials which are now crumbling and the government are dragging their heels to help families who can not live in their homes.
The state neither made nor sold the bricks to these poor people. Why are the makers or sellers of the bricks not living up to their responsibilities.
@@BrianOh-uc3gm because they can shut down or "sell" the business and the responsibility is void
@@BrianOh-uc3gm the state didnt do a proper job of regulating the manufacturing tolerances
Tofu dredge bricks like in China?
Only God gets to say that he doesn't need to learn anything learning is a human trait.

Its a migration crisis, not a housing crisis
I’d say no. Migration swamping threat is not new. It’s a border management crisis. That’s what has changed. And in most western nations simultaneously. I’ll say no more.
All Cities economically for the good of the country, must own a minimum of 75% of housing by Non-Profit Companies and 25% for speculators, Just take a look at Vienna, Austria which is the most succesful city in providing affordable housing for it's citizens!
Plannning autorities in ireland like an bord pleaneulla and dublin city council keep objecting to large scale housing and apartment developments because planning autorities in ireland are incredibly small minded plus local councillors that represent local goverment also object to houseing projects in ireland and they use people in their local areas to also object this is called nimbusim meaning dont build it in my area so the irish goverment and planning autorities in ireland like dubkin city council and planning autoritie an bord pleanuala are too blame so no wonder adult children are having to live with their mammies and dadies🤔🙄
Nimbyism: not in my backyard
Canada , U.S., and Australia also have ridiculously high housing costs.
Property is not the big problem....ireland and especially the cities are unsafe places to visit due to a unrestricted and unvetted open border policy by the government...
Not to mention the unprecedented increase in hate crimes targeted mostly towards people who look or sound different. The thought of passing through the Dublin city center is terrifying for people of minority groups.
I live quite happily in Ireland thank you very much. No particular issues with anything although, admittedly, and as with most countries, life is more difficult for those in lower socioeconomic-economic groups. Nonetheless, Ireland has one of the most redistributive tax systems in the world which basically moves very significant amounts of money from those earning more to those earning less via taxation. So overall, although it is expensive to live here, there is an abundance of high earning jobs, and a very good quality of life for those that can afford to live here. We have a housing crisis, but so does most western developed countries and government is in fact taking steps to try to address that - although progress is slow.
Surely the answer is to blame the British
Unfortunately for Irish politicians 'blaming the British' don't work anymore.
The blame lies with the government.
Not everything is about you.
We can in the north, poor stagnated wages, poor welfare with only one child allowed child benefit and rents are creeping up a lot.
Enough of the Keynesian nonsensical solutions. We already have free education in Ireland.

There must be good counties outside of Dublin.
Nice places to live with a decent way of life?
I’m a plumber in Scotland and would consider moving to Ireland if it was worth it.
You could very happily move to satelite county outside of Dublin we always need new tradesmen and women, you would have consistent work
West Cork! It's beautiful and there's
thriving little towns all along the coast :)
Oh yeah you guys should try living over here in the states getting nuttier and nuttier by the day along with expensive

Hello good morning, pls give information, myself senior citizen 62yrs old from india, i have car driving licence , manual, accountant, store supervisor, cashier, fluent in English language, pls suggest, can work in Ireland , pls give advise, thanks
I would heavily advise against it, not only are rents sky high but there is ethnic tension brewing now as Ireland let in a tonne of immigrants, you could easily find a job but you wont find a place to rent
The young are going to Canada..lmao
Lack of accommodation is a problem in every county in Europe. This is a rubbish channel.
And it is especially poor in Ireland.
Not in every country but in Ireland
I can't speak for every single country. However, every country that has assisted people from Ukraine (since the illegal invasion from Russia) has experienced housing problems.
Ireland may have been able to accommodate the housing needs of Irish citizens, but within 12 months, 2022 -2023, 100,000 people arrived in Ireland, and they had immediate accommodation requirements. So you see, it's not all black or white. There are many different issues in between.
@fionafromireland1054 yes it's true
The thing is that while the gov provide everything that the citizens can not get, of course they keep coming and causing more problem . That's why they don't want to stay in east Europe
@@fionafromireland1054in 2022 it was 250 immigrant in total. The last 3 years we saw around 600k people. 21.8%of the population is foreign born it's insane...
