This series is becoming something akin to a weekly ongoing Anime series for me; its so good, I just can't wait for more. Would probably binge re-watch at some point 🤣

using Lightroom brush with the mask overlay on is sublime
Watching it again. I just can't get enough of your teachings. Very grateful to have you!
Thank you very much for making these. I’ve practiced the framing around 2 weeks, i (think, probably) made my photos better. Will go to the next one once i got this in my head 🎉❤
Thank you for creating this, it really gives back so much information in a short amount of time! Can't wait to watch the others from this series!
Thanks Pat for another great video. You are doing a great job of establishing the "pillars" of photography in a clear, serene way. Pleae continue.

binge watching all your videos thank you so much for making these. super helpful for beginners like me.
Stumbled across your photographs few years back , have absolutely been amazed by them since , now to learn the process behind them is eye opening , thank you for this !
Another gem, Pat. Your explanation of each concept is so clear and logical. You don’t just give a definition. By also explaining why you would include a particular pattern and the meaning you’re trying to convey to the viewer makes these videos especially useful.
This series is the best beginners guide ever. Thank you so much for doing this.
been waiting for this one, excited to learn new things in this series!🙌🏻
will be trying to get these out every fortnight!
Very clear definitions of negative and positive space - thank you!

Hi Pat, I like the ideas you are putting forth in this visual patterns series. I had a question regarding the idea of negative space - When does negative space not look good in a photograph? Not all photographs have a lot of negative space, so could you please give us some examples of when negative space spoils the photograph?
Tbh I find this concept very elusive. Thanks for making this series! I find it very interesting to watch!
This series is awesome. Please keep it up :)
Highly informative, thanks for this video Pat!

Bravo! Beautiful! Homages! ⚡⚡⚡ JAR
Thank you for sharing your insight and thought processes in a very non RUclips ("wazzup from your boy") style. One day I'd love attending one of your and your fellow Sydneysider Matt Horspool's workshops. Cheers from Brisbane
learned something
thanks
im glad! :)
Negative space is one of my absolute favourite visual language tools!
These are great videos and examples. I have a off topic question but figured I’d ask. Where do you get your hoodies from?
Thanks for the video Pat! How did you coordinate with your subject to be so far away? Did you simply tell your friend to hike ahead while you prepped for the shot?
its either i tell my friends where to stand, or it's just timing! as you get better at predicting where people will go (shoot a lot of street photography), it gets ALOT easier
great
hey Pat thanks for the video ! What do you think about a completely blue skie with no clouds as a negative space ? Is it too boring and would require a sky replacement?
i love a completely blue sky personally. and i'm personally against sky replacement in general.
@@patkay me too I just cannot bring myself to do a sky replacement , this makes me feel better now hahaha 😝
Very useful video. On an unrelated topic, what app do you use for the markup?
just lightroom
May I know the fonts that you use?
im gAY
