Also in some ways why they're so dull. The ' Art ' of it. The middle success period of Ja-Akky Chan examples that nicely.
Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon showed to me how Art goes too far off course. The viewer of Crouching Tiger had to fill in the gaps with humor, patience, or personal philosophy. Entertainment movies are supposed to entertain. Not demand the viewer be co-author.

adamrush8096: I first started watching Kung fu flicks in the 5th grade when channel 5 KTLA from Los Angeles had “Kung fu theatre” double feature every Saturday when I was growing up. My love for these films never prevailed and I became a life long fan. In the fall of 1993 a new hip hop group from the projects in staten island New York dropped their first album: “enter the 36 chambers”, CREAM was the first single. I was living in San Francisco going to university and my homeboy came by cuz he wanted me to check out “the Wu-tang clan”. I was blown away and thus another lifelong love & adoration began. Phenomenal. It never gets old. Chef raekwon’s “only built for Cuban linx” is another one of my favorite albums. There’s no other music like it. Never probably will be either. The 1990’s were an amazing time for hip hop, specifically east coast. I love the whole queens bridge sound too. Have all these albums and singles on vinyl.. something about the sound of vinyl nothing else compares, in my opinion. So see, your soul mate does exist my boy!!!:)
