Isildur being one of the Nine doesn't make sense, the Nine already existed during Sauron's war with the Last Alliance. So even if it was possible that one of the nine rings revived and corrupted him, there has to have been another wraith that was defeated in the second age. Helm Hammerhand being a Nazgul is a very interesting turn tho, as is Talion ending up a Nazgul himself. I didn't expect them to find an ending that would end up fitting with the events of LotR.
Wouldn't make sense since Helm's death is relatively not long before these events, and Celebrimbor wouldn't have been at Sauron's side. Also he couldn't assume Annatar's form after Numenor...the ending made sense in an interesting way like you said though...
Because it's not canon. It builds upon lore and alters it to create a story that is similar to the original LotR universe, but not quite. I suppose you could call it fan fiction taken to a whole new level.
Well, in regards to the SOW story and lore, it's suggested that the Nine have been alternated through history at various points. That is to say that the Nine have been changed up and made from different men as the ages have progressed. Not all of them; the Witch King seems to be Sauron's most powerful and consistent of soldiers. But others, not so much. In the case of Isildur, he might have just been the latest in a line of chosen Nazgul of Sauron's preference and choosing; picking the strongest candidates to mold into his Ringwraiths whilst eliminating the weaker and thus unneeded back into darkness. In Isildur's case, he was chosen for his strength and as recompense for instigating the Dark Lord's defeat. At least, that's how this game's history and depiction have made it seem.

The worst thing is that the she-elf traitor will be probably the main character in another game. Hate her. Dont understand this choice of creators really...
@@nicolasmouzakis650 I'd go with the latter. Celebrimbor grew thirsty with power, he even approached Sauron atop Barad-dur saying "You will serve the Bright Lord now". I dunno about you, but I expected something more to the side of the vengeance he sought after, not domination and replacement of Sauron. Power is incredibly alluring when it is readily accessible, especially when its wrapped around your finger. Like Bruz said "Dark Lord, Bright Lord, same thing really!" Light and Darkness, in my personal view, cannot exist without the other. One side will return when the other triumphs, always. The key to stability is to balance the two. It is a common theme in some games, heck even Super Smash Brothers Ultimate has this message.
that all well and good but what happened to the new ring we lose sight of it after celebrator gets his fingers cut off and i don't think Sauron would let a ring as powerful as that just vanish
but based on Celebrimbor's comments during the game the new ring is perfect because it isnt tied to sauron but is just as powerful as the one ring/old ring
they leave open the plot hole of the New Ring. they either will be having a dlc with the galandrial girl or you are meant to believe taht sauron consumed its power. it is a disconnect to the books/movies.
What if, Celebromor never betrayed Talion, they defeated sauron together, purified barad dur, and took mordor for themselves, got the one ring from Bilbo, maybe we get a cutscene of them meeting gandalf, and then after that morgoth gets revived an leads a legion of uruk hai, and we spend the endgame fighting Morgoths army
Great game, really enjoyed it throughout. My only questions are regarding the 2 rogue Nazgul? Would have liked more in the way of origin, their motives, & place in middle earth..?
The same way she still wore it the few time she turned back into a spider. She did not really do anything with it anyway....I do not really see what was the point of her taking the ring... That entire bit was pretty much inconsequential.
The entire time I watched this (having never played the game), I kept thinking, ‘… this isn’t gonna work. It OBVIOUSLY won’t work because the battle for Middle Earth happens in Return of the King.’
@Google Are racist trash um, no? When the ring (or any ring of power) is in your possession, and you have a strong enough will to use it’s power, you won’t go invisible. When you wear it in your finger is when you go invisible (and if you’re a Man/ hobbit). Only immortal beings, such as elves or maiar, don’t go invisible wearing one. Dwarves too don’t turn invisible, but only because of their affiliation to Aulë I presume.
Honestly if I had a choice I'd would pick Bruz as the overlord instead of keeping the same overlord you arrived to kill in the first place. I liked Ratbag as a character, but Bruz was your main assault leader, and you just cast him aside like nothing happened. Knowing orcs and trolls in fantasy series, it should have stuck out as a defendant thought of him betraying you, and Bruz was one of the best characters in the game.
King Of Cherries, Bruz had a certain mindset though, like he talked to Talion as if he weren't his master and he always expected Talion to do something rather than be told what to do. He was never meant to be commanded, and he probably would have tried to betray Talion with the full force of the fortress that he was overlord of.
Rohan was late in the third age waaay after Celebrimbor would have been killed by Sauron...why then would he be okay to give one of the Nine to Helm? Who died in the snow....would've been better if they didn't use already established characters...should've gone with Isilimo
Finally he has been lifted off the curse n the battle for middle earth has ended, im glad for the great ending, cuz he wanted to die in the first place n then this game gave him that 😆😉😢😭💖💖💖

The worst thing is that the she-elf traitor will be probably the main character in another game. Hate her. Dont understand this choice of creators really...
Shadow Of Mordor: "I thought you wanted revenge!"
Shadow Of War: "This not about your petty vengeance"
It could be seen as a plot hole or as an example of corrupted celebrimbor got over the course of the games
Like Bruz said "Dark Lord, Bright Lord, same thing really!"
Light and Darkness, in my personal view, cannot exist without the other. One side will return when the other triumphs, always. The key to stability is to balance the two. It is a common theme in some games, heck even Super Smash Brothers Ultimate has this message.
Maybe im getting old but playing up to act 3 and then watch the rest on youtube was a good shoice.
that all well and good but what happened to the new ring we lose sight of it after celebrator gets his fingers cut off and i don't think Sauron would let a ring as powerful as that just vanish
i'm pretty sure the one ring, is tied to all the rings sauron had in the end. ~someting like that
but based on Celebrimbor's comments during the game the new ring is perfect because it isnt tied to sauron but is just as powerful as the one ring/old ring
they leave open the plot hole of the New Ring. they either will be having a dlc with the galandrial girl or you are meant to believe taht sauron consumed its power. it is a disconnect to the books/movies.
Indeed but since Shelob still stand there’s might be another battle even if Sauron defeated
Great game, really enjoyed it throughout. My only questions are regarding the 2 rogue Nazgul? Would have liked more in the way of origin, their motives, & place in middle earth..?
Little sad that the guy who can beat all Sauron's army was killed by volcano eruption
shelob is one good looking spider
the only good looking so far xD
Shadowx Talion and zarinah is the leader of the war
Bria all ways get berayde
Honestly I never knew that this game tied in with LoTRs.......rip Gollum
Ratbag, Ranger all random orcs and baranor are the best characters
I laughed when ragbag revealed himself 😆
i wanted to see talion and celebrimbor walk towards the light together.....
I still think that it would be much more interesting if shelob kept the spider form for the whole story....
mormegil231 how would the the ring fit on her?
The same way she still wore it the few time she turned back into a spider.
She did not really do anything with it anyway....I do not really see what was the point of her taking the ring... That entire bit was pretty much inconsequential.
mormegil231
I like the hot Shelob better. 😊
I think she just wanted to lure the duo so she could use them against Sauron for betraying her.
To be fair Shelob is not an actual spider, she is a demon or something like that, and spider form is a guise she takes.
I think it's "move ready", honestly if the Rouge 1 with that "back story" could be a really nice move this easly can be the same success.
By far the best written game I've ever watched/played. WB kills it with these single player rpgs
You saying those words ether means that you probably are joking or second you never truly played great rpg games like The Witcher 3
The entire time I watched this (having never played the game), I kept thinking,
‘… this isn’t gonna work. It OBVIOUSLY won’t work because the battle for Middle Earth happens in Return of the King.’
Why did they give Shelob a voice actor with such a similar voice to Galadriel?
Am I the only one that wants a dlc of celebrimbor not betraying talion and beating sauron?
Brilliant set of lore yet there's still some points to reform. For instance, the role of Earnur, supposed to be played heavily.
Thanks dude I spilled my drink on my controller and skipped the cutscene by accident cleaning ot
This should be a movie though
Its strange how they just forget that if any Man wearing a ring of power will become invisible.
Ratbag is the best 🤘
He was never meant to be commanded, and he probably would have tried to betray Talion with the full force of the fortress that he was overlord of.
this games story started off alot stronger then it finished
Talion was my favourite character and still is.
That Ending though
Rohan was late in the third age waaay after Celebrimbor would have been killed by Sauron...why then would he be okay to give one of the Nine to Helm? Who died in the snow....would've been better if they didn't use already established characters...should've gone with Isilimo
Talion looks like Aragorn
1:34:50
Looks like the Graug wants some Grog, too.
im so sorry Talion...But they're "taking the hobbits to isengard...."
I sometime wish that talion had one more battle with his former friend celebrimbor
After seen this it looks like I am watching the movie the Ring
Talion😭❤️❤️❤️
don't cry i know i know
I love Shadow of war
Finally he has been lifted off the curse n the battle for middle earth has ended, im glad for the great ending, cuz he wanted to die in the first place n then this game gave him that 😆😉😢😭💖💖💖
We all have to agree that even if the nazgul looks better. But the Witch King looked more bad ass in the movie.
I hated the ending, because Talion died and he was the main character. I hate when main characters died, its so sad and dark.
2:08:25 .... the funny line ever 😂
A drake would have been great asset
Nice video, thank
Amazing subtitles
