Love you both and LMNT. We have had an over 1 month heat and humidity in NY. I HAD to use electrolytes or lay in bed with no energy. LMNT really helps.
I’ve been making keto orange chicken for a few years now. Instead of adding salt you need to add soy sauce. I use no sugar added orange marmalade, no sugar added bbq sauce, and coconut aminos. It’s yum!
@@ruthtorphy2204 I buy tomato sauce in a can. Read the ingredient label! It should be something like: tomatos, spices. It should have no added sugars. I pour it into a small bowl, add a few drops of liquid smoke, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, whatever floats your boat. I also put some ground up chipotles (easy to find in Mexico, where I live) just a smidge! for heat. Then I add allulose/monk fruit or whatever, to taste. If I want it thicker, good old xanthan gum mixed with the spices and powders can help. It's basically the cost of the tomato sauce and a bunch of things already in your kitchen.
I made this last night for my family. The only ingredient swap I did was the bar-b-q sauce. I used Primal Kitchen instead of G Hughes. The dry-cooked cali rice was the best I've ever made and the entire dish was restaurant quality. I cook for 3 generations on a daily basis and It's hard to please everyone, but let me tell you. This is a winner! Thank you Keto Twins. :)💫
If you want to save time on drying the cauliflower rice out in pan, after you microwave it put a strainer with a piece of cheese cloth in it in the sink and pour the cauliflower into it, gather up the cheese cloth and squeeze out the liquid. It only takes a second to get ALL the moisture out
Doesn’t it stick to the cloth? I hate wasting food so I’m afraid I would sit there to take each tiny piece of cauliflower off of the cloth for a very long time like a vampire who needs to count all the grains if you throw grain at its feet 😆 Edit: I’m also wondering how much of the nutrients are lost through squeezing the water out. Evaporating the water would keep the nutrients while only losing the moisture.
I just leave out one bag of frozen cauliflower on the counter ahead of time on the counter. Slice the bag open, bunch up the opening by closing it up with your hand, turn upside over the sink and squeeze the bag from all the water.
Another winner from the keto twins Test Kitchen they show you variations that are quick and easy and affordable and above all tasty thank you kiddo twins
Howdy Em and Sarah. I haven't commented in a long time but you managed to fit in Choc Zero and Real Good Foods into the same video. Those two brands are my go to for my treat foods. It deserved a comment and I wanted to say am so happy to see your continued success after all these years of being a Keto Twins Fangirl. 🤣🥰
Another great video ladies! I have used your technique of microwaving the frozen cauliflower rice first before adding it to a dry skillet, but I’ve found that you don’t need to microwave it first. Just toss the frozen cauliflower right into the dry frying pan and get busy removing the moisture. It works great without the extra step in the microwave.
Great video! Sweet baby ray sugar-free barbecue sauce only has four carbs per 2 tablespoons. Just wanted to let you know… plus it’s made with Allulose, which is probably a healthier sweetener. Thanks!💖
I just want to say. My 13 year old daughter send me the link to watch this. So looks like I'll be making this for us! Encouraging that your videos are even inspiring a teen 😊
Hi Twins! I just started watching you guys and I think you’re great! This is the first recipe I have tried, but I made it today and I loved it. Still not a huge fan of cauliflower rice, but dry cooking it DEFINITELY helps. Thank you!!!
I'm a spoiled bratty kid when it comes to fake rice, but y'all's fried rice is DAH BEST!!! It's the only one I've made in months ( and I make it A LOT).
Always use your dry fry cauliflower rice hack. Real Realgood also has General Tso chicken nuggets with sauce, I believe it's 3 net carbs. Tons of sauce included, but I go really light with it. We have it with steamed broccoli as well.
Oh Baby!! You read my mind!! I been craving orange chicken & You heard AND delivered!! 😍 YOU BOTH ROCK!! Thank You So much for all Your hard work!! Thank Your viewers for letting me know my fav bbq sauce now has a low carb version!! On the hunt!! having this soon!!
Please know that you have literally changed my life! Keto is a lifestyle like you say. You inspire me daily with your logical solutions to succeed using Keri. You girls make technically keto easy, interesting and so much fun!💙😍
That looks pretty yummy. I have precooked pork in my freezer, waiting to be coated with an egg whites and whey crispy coating for sweet and sour pork recipe. Thanks for the reminder.
Long time watcher/subscriber & first time commentor!! Me and my hubby love your videos, you two crack us up! You two are great inspiration. My hubby and I are following a keto lifestyle & we love your chaffle recipe too! We just finished eating your keto orange chicken for our LATE supper. Yes...at 1030pm here in Ohio. It was very good! I bought Smuckers SF orange marmalade/$3.98 at our local Walmart. I always use Aldis Garlic & Herb Riced Califlower, even with this orange chicken...the seasoning in this rice isn't super strong & prob the cheapest. Also, Aldis frozen broccoli is the best, esp for the price. Thank you girls for keeping it fun! ❤ SN-I am making the lemon curd next!!
Now I've tried both your orange chicken recipes. They're both good. My family said the more complicated recipe isn't appreciably better and they're happy with this easier version. Thank you for this hack. Also, your Cauliflower rice is really good. It actually makes me not miss regular rice with these keto asian dishes. I really enjoy your channel. Thanks again!
How did i miss this video the first time around? I just made orange chicken the other day and it was not good. I can hardly wait to make it your way. Your cauliflower rice changed everything for me. Thank you ladies!
I skip the microwave and take the cauliflower straight to the pan from frozen. It's simple and works great! Thanks for sharing this hack. I bet it would be great with G Hughes Orange Ginger Marinade as well. 😋
This is such a good recipe for folks starting out on keto because it's EASY and it's a yummy swap for something they already love. Thank you for using our orange marmalade for this- it's one of my favorite ways to enjoy it! I also like having it with pork chops 😋
I just made this orange chicken and cauliflower rice using your dry pan method and it was quick, easy and delicious. Now I won’t feel left out when my boyfriend orders Chinese food. Thanks!!!
I'm making this right now for probably the fifth or sixth time.We love this dinner. I combine it with your chow main but I use the rice instead of the noodles.
Oh YUM! I love orange chicken. I cook my cauliflower rice dry too. Perfect every time. Thank you so much for sharing this great recipe! ChocZero products are the bomb! I buy sweet baby “Ray’s” “no sugar added”. Less than 4 carbs per 2 tablespoons. It delicious. Is it perfectly clean, NOPE! Sweet and Smokey or Hickory!
Choc zero has very tasty marmalade and other jams, too. Sweet Baby Ray’s sugar free BBQ sauce is tasty, as well. Thanks for this recipe ! Peace and joy 🙏🌸😎
This is a great recipe! The sauce is easy to get to the taste you want.... great tip on the dry pan cauliflower rice! Next time I'm gonna add frozen peas, carrots, onion & an egg to make it cauliflower fried rice....also rays makes a sugar free teriyaki sauce I'm gonna try with the realgood chicken nugz....which by the way are actually really good!😂😂😂
This made me think of grape jelly and BBQ sauce meatballs. If you use sugar free versions of the jelly and spicy BBQ sauce (50/50) it should work. Not sure if there are low carb frozen meatballs but worst case I could make my own. Maybe this could be a future episode…😉
Ladies, this recipe hack is so good! I used Butcher Box gluten free chicken nuggets with the Choc Zero Orange Marmalade and the Alterna Sweets BBQ Sauce. I prefer the Alterna Sweets to G. Hughes because my family is sensitive to the Sucralose used in the Hughes brand vs erythritol and stevia used in the Alterna product. My husband saw me starting to add the sauce to the nuggets and said, “don’t add that to mine.” I added it anyway and he devoured the nuggets, saying I was right again! 😂Then he asked me to make it again the following night! I call that a home run!😁

New to your channel! I’m revisiting Keto just like you two did. Agreeing it is a life style for me not a diet. I purchased the Dash 4 slice chaffle, the plastic cylinders and papers. I’ve made “taco”, regular with almond flower and regular without the flour. Thank you for taking hi carb food and figuring out a way to make it Keto! You both have encouraged me to loose the 60 extra weight I’ve carried for probably the last 30 years. Can’t wait to dry out the Cauliflower rice & make the orange chicken. My husbands favorite at Panda. 😁
Love the channel girls. I wonder if after dry cooking the "rice" could you make it into Fried Rice? Soy, veg, etc... Oooo, Generals chicken, douse the nuggets in bbq sauce with lots of spice?! Yum!
Cooking frozen cauli rice in a pan on the stove makes it really good. Not too wet, not too dry. I add zero water, start on low covered for a few minutes and then remove the lid for the last few minutes.
Holy smokes. Been craving orange chicken forever. I had no idea that there were frozen low carb chicken nuggets available at Walmart. You know where I am going tomorrow. Lol. Need to order some Orange Marmalade from Choc Zero now. Thank you so much for this recipe. I love the test kitchen recipes. Think I will top this off with toasted sesame seeds and coconut aminos also. Love the way you dry cook the cauliflower rice. Will try that with for my fried "rice" recipe. Enjoy your weekend ladies.

Mmmmmmm! To start off with the driest cauliflower before even putting it in the pan to “dry out even more”: I save a lot of time/effort by just ‘dry’ microwave mine. I take a whole head of cauliflower (keep whole) rinse, trim, & drain very THOROUGHLY. Using a 4 or 8 cup Pyrex graduated cup/pitcher (w/handle) that best fits size of whole head of cauli, put it in the pitcher (season w/salt now helps draw out water while cooking.) Best if the cauli does not touch the bottom of pitcher. Only partially cover with glass lid, plate or Saran Wrap to allow all steam to escape. Microwave on high approx 10+-min. Carefully remove cover, drain accumulated moisture from bottom of pitcher. At this point it is quite dry & and ready to cool a bit before shredding or processing into ‘rice’ for this recipe (or pull flor)ets apart for other recipes or to turn into ‘faux-tatos’).

Sweet & Spicy Ray's is excellent.
