Also, if you give a fox a fire aspect sword, he will kill chickens and it cooks them same as when you use a fire sword to kill them. I've used it to make a fox powered auto chicken farm before
Amazing💯
You could so make a tutorial video on that!
@@lunacat7469 ruclips.net/video/MLJjRyb4VtA/видео.html Silent Whisper made one a couple of years ago. I built one but it was roughly the same design. Haven't really seen an updated one. I find it more efficient myself (albeit a lot more work to set up) since there's no lava you don't have the issue of losing any chicken. And I believe if you put looting on the sword it does get more drops but I'm not positive on that part.
@@fogismaximus Sick
Edit: Really wish you had a tutorial for the more effective one..
looting works too
I always thought the ghast was some kind of a ghost, so the withers behavior kinda makes sense.
Yeah because ghasts are undead
There's actually have a sad background story about ghast
@@AA-rx9ph No they're not, Ghasts aren't actually classified as undead by the game.
@@ChrissieBear you sure? i remember killing them with healing potions
@@rompevuevitos222 in the official book, it shows that ghasts are actually machines
Actually, the handedness of skeletons is backwards because someone at Mojang forgot to do their research. For bows, the dominant hand is typically the one pulling the arrow, meaning the skeleton in the video would be right handed. This same trivia makes 11% of skeletons right handed and the rest left handed, exactly the opposite of normal humans.
In super technicality, the bow hand choice matches which eye is the dominant eye, which normally matches with the dominant hand pulling the string, but not always.
I was wondering exactly this thanks :)
Skeletons confirmed as former US Presidents.
Left handed people need representation
@@themiller3940 I guess 😂
I'm left handed and when he said the skeleton was left handed I thought everything I'd been taught was a lie lol. I'm sitting there like, no he's not? Is he?
I like the invisibility potion on a charged creeper, it makes it look like a ghost creeper, could be pretty cool in a haunted mansion
Zombies can use totems of undying as well. Found this out today while raiding a woodland mansion.
“Kind of shows that even though then the Nether is a barren and strange land to us, the Overworld is the same thing to the Hoglin” I didn’t expect a quote this raw from a minecraft video
I actually tested the first fact when I learned zombies could become drowned (put husks in water) & I was amazed by the results! I assume your just hydrating the husks assuming they’re just extremely dried up zombies.
Using “assume [pronoun] just” twice in the same sentence is wild
Husks are dried up zombies yes, as that is what the word 'husk' means in this instance
@@soup2865 I'm assuming you didn't do well in english class, assuming you took an english class
The Zoglin is giving me a lot of similar vibes of the Primal: madness plague episode.. just rotting into a corpse and then going apesh!t on literally everything.
What about johnny
"Every minecraft player knows how to make a snow golem" - I didn't! You can make cute little snowmen!? I've only been playing for a couple of months, I still have a lot to discover and learn!
Now you know :)
@@Eyecraftmc Yes I do, thanks to you. Seriously, your videos are such a help to me as a new player!
damn only a couple months this late into development?
they will also attack hostile mobs, and any neutral mobs that attack players, resulting in knock back with no damage. The only mob that takes damage from snow golems are blazes (and maybe wolves, but i’m not sure about that).
mobs that are hit by a snowball from a snow golem will attack the golem. provoked creepers will explode when hit by the golem.
snow golems can be great for defense, if used correctly. But be aware that they will melt in warm biomes unless they’re given a fire protection potion!
cool to see that people are still getting into the game after so many years! it’s a game with a many fun and quirky mechanics. i’ve been playing on/off for years and i still learn something new all the time!
@@flaskesamler
If you set up a little shooting point for your golem and surround them with fire, then they hurl flaming snow balls! It only does burn damage but it eventually kills them
Note to self: start feeding Dolphins. Fun things to try. Thx eye!
Np!
On bedrock if you do it you'll get the achievement echolocation
I like how during the initial llama showcase you can still see the arrows on his body from the previous Stray fact
This is actually such a good video, I LOVE how good you are at calmly explaining things; I recently taught my boyfriend how to play and it was NOT as easy as you make it look, lol. There’s a lot of stuff in this game
Minecraft is a lot more complicated than most people think for sure
Any tips on teaching someone who’s never played before? Teaching my girl, I’m a technical player but she’s a complete beginner!
@@Eyecraftmc SO TRUE
@@Eyecraftmc with the zombie raid from my understanding they can no longer break down doors.
@@youtubestuff683 Zombies can break down doors. It's just incredibly hard for them to do it.
A zombie siege has happened to me before many times I was always very confused. Interesting to hear it's an actual mechanic.
At least you didn't have one happen to you during a raid.
@@arthurlam751 funny you say that because i did in fact have one happen to me during a raid
@@appetiteee5605 💀
@@arthurlam751 i also wanted 1 zombie for my breeder and i went out in the dark by my village and then there were like 20 zombies all in a horde
Some interesting mechanics are exclusive to the Hard difficulty. Since many players play in the default Normal difficulty, these mechanics remain unknown outside the technical community
I've been playing Minecraft for 8 years now with well over 3,000 hours, and I have learned so many new things from your channel. Love the content! Definitely earned a sub from me.
Lowkey love the lack of over enthusiastic youtuber voice overs for Minecraft videos for once. Hope to see more content
The "left handed" skeleton you showed was actually right handed... In general, you use your dominant hand to draw the bow string. I suppose that means that most skeletons in minecraft are left handed.
Awesome video though. These were great to learn about.
Yeah thank you. I got annoyed to
I was just about to comment the same thing
Wait... but then the player character holds the bow in the wrong hand! Should be in the opposite of the dominant hand. I guess in minecraft, the bow is one "unit", like a pistol... you wouldn't be able to use a shield with it otherwise
This is actually really good I didn’t know most of this great job👏
Glad you Like it :)
Great video good content and correction on the zoglin , it is hostile to ALMOST every single mob EXCEPT other zoglins which makes sense
Can you make a video where it’s things to do when bored in minecraft survival, btw love the content
That is an awesome idea!
Amazing video! Starting to watch your vids and the more I watch, the more I enjoy them) About shearing golems: the face texture has been in the game for a long time. Previously you could stand "inside" the golem (e.g trap him in a narrow space and get so close to him as to get "inside" his texture) and thus see his face. It's so heartwarming they made such a reference)
Confession: I arrogantly clicked on this video knowing I wouldn't learn anything, I knew everything there was to know about minecraft mobs... boy was I wrong! 😅 there is still so much I don't know but your videos have great info. Please Please can you do a video on rails and minecarts? Pretty please 🙏 😁
The Zoglin can very very very rarely naturally spawn if a fully light nether portal (which is very, very rare) spawns and they go through it. Also, you can make a music disc farm by combining a skeleton and creeper farm so the skeletons shoots the creepers.
Wow. There was way more here that I didn’t know than I thought. And for the stuff that I did know about, you managed to show something new to me - I knew about the Zoglins, for example, but not that they’re hostile toward ALL mobs! Great video.
Im going to go remoisturize my husk right now! Awesome video Eye!
Have fun LOL
I remember a zombie raid randomly happened on LastLife SMP and their target was a trading hall in Ren's castle due to a large number of villagers stationed there. It was pretty funny and unexpected.
Awesome video but the skeleton show is right handed. Right handed archers hold the bow left and draw back with right
That is true in real life although I don't think the developers thought of that when adding the feature in minecraft as the skeleton I showed in the video was certainly the odd one out.
Putting a light grey carpet on a lama gives it a superhero mask
Love your content bro! Can’t think of any other creator I click on so fast, at the moment
I appreciate that!
So husks don’t burn in the sun, but if you add water they become more flammable.
Husks wear hats, zombies do not :D
But good point
Nice video! Very helpful 👍🏼
They actually got the skeleton handedness wrong with that particular little easter egg. In archery you hold the bow with your off hand and draw the string with your dominant hand, so that the string is closer to your dominant eye. So when a skeleton is holding a bow with their left hand, that means they are right handed and left handed when they are holding it in their right hand. This mix up also means players are all also left handed archers, lol.
Something you failed to explain about some mobs:
The Zombie Siege that’s pretty important to note is they actually have some fairly distinct requirements to occur. They happen in any difficult EXCEPT PEACEFUL, only trigger at or past 12:00 in game (I think), and you or another player must be in the game’s village boundaries. These aren’t clearly defined in normal gameplay without cheats or tools, so just be sure the exit a number of blocks from any village you want to protect as soon as the sun sets if you don’t plan on sleeping. Likewise, another detail you kind of skewed was that zombies only break doors in hard mode. They’ll try in other difficulties but they won’t be able to unless you’ve got some kind of Addons or something running. Villagers will always leave their houses at dawn, even if the siege zombies aren’t all neutralized, meaning they’re still not necessarily safe then.
Polar bears can spawn as or with a baby naturally (in bedrock, not sure about Java though), so there’s still a chance you’ll encounter them in even your own base’s proximity if the spawn conditions for the polar bear are met often enough. Be sure to spawn proof for the them in addition to any typical measures you would take if you live in a biome where polar bears can show up. One of the last things you’d want in hardcore is to walk outside of your fenced in snow fort to get food to heal, and immediately die to a polar bear.
You also don’t need to kill a Fox if it steals an item from you. If a Fox is holding an item you want, like something you dropped on accident, drop a piece of food (like a meat) and crouch. The Fox AI prioritizes food items over inedible ones, and it will more than likely drop the already held item to pick up the bait instead. Just be sure to crouch and back away enough, or it probably won’t approach because wild foxes also retreat from any players who aren’t crouching.
And while not a fact about a featured mob, it’s still worth keeping in mind that other passive mobs (notably livestock) will also eat your crops if they get into your fields. Rabbits aren’t the only ones you need to be careful of if you’re setting up a farm outside.
Actually zombies can break doors down outside hard mode, from what remember it's very rare however..some zombies spawn with the ability to do so, but not all can (unlike hard more), the zombie siege may be able to spawn zombies with the ability to break doors. I think this feature is turned off for peaceful though. I watched a video once on all the special kinds of zombies that spawn which this was included! There was also a type of zombie that can call in backup.
If a zombie is wearing any kind of armour and it converts to a drowned, it will drop the armour with full durability
That's been patched I think
Love your content. I've learned a lot about the game from it.
Charged creeper can give you 100% chance to get the head of mobs like zombies, skeletons including wither skeletons and creeper but not pigs and cows.
Because those items don't exist in the game
I'm pretty sure there's also a unique pattern for each color of carpet if you put it on a wandering trader's llama!
Foxes sleeping are so cute!
man I watched lots of curiosity videos but this is one of the only ones that told me things I actually didn't know about. Great job!
I don't know if it's Minecraft lore, but a ghast is some sort of evil spirit, ghost or soul
Another certified craft classic
😎
that fish fact alone is amazing to find out. wow. thanks!
That skeleton was definitely a right handed archer
there is 2 theories about the wither behaviour, the 1st is that the ghast is kind of a ghost and the 2nd is that the ghast is made from the same souls that are trapped in soul sand like the wither that's why the ghast always spawn in soul sand valley
Or option 3: to prevent an infinite battle where they fly up into the sky after eachother or ruin the nether with all their missed shots..
@@testerwulf3357 not really, the ghast will instantly die because of his low health.
I didn’t know half of these and i’ve being playing Minecraft since 2015!
Also a fact about strays; they drop slow tipped arrows. I have a stray farm on a Java server I play on and sell the arrows in my shop. I just made a normal skelly spawnwe farm, but add a snow block on a lever and when lots of skellys build up I flip the lever, wait for them to convert, and then, of course, kill them...
My favorite part about this video is how you don't start out SCREAMING LIKE THIS LIKE MOST OTHER MINECRAFT RUclipsRS. Great work man!
8:09 I haven't tested it yet, but apparently Allays can use totems as well.
so can zombies
They can, I tested it
I've always found foxes adorable when they sleep And the little snoring sounds are so cute!
The nether chickens can't lay eggs but their offspring can.
Zombies only start to drop armour if it playing on hard difficulty
No, they drop armor in all modes, except for peaceful
Using a few blocks of powdered snow and a skeleton spawner you can make a stray farm to farm slowness arrows
4:36 I have been playing minecraft for over a decade and never once in my life knew about this. I legitimately thought it was a troll when you showed it's goof snowman face omg
I love the goofy smiles of the snow golems!
Your voice is so calming you definitely deserve more subs
I didn’t know about the polar bear thing and I assumed they were always aggressive. Those things chase you so far
I didnt know you could take off the pumpkin from the snowgolem after all these years until now hahaha xD
I didn't know a single feature, awesome video
Can you pick up the lingering effects from creepers? Like how you can with dragons?
Withers not targeting Ghasts is most likely to make sure it doesn't fly off to narnia over a lava pool or shoot at COMPLETE random all over the Nether, as there is alot of overhangs and small bridges the player needs to be able to navigate
This sounds about right..
what a fun video. but now i'm wondering, can you dry out a drowned and turn it back into a normal zombie?
Maybe....
no
It'd be interesting if with the addition of mud, if a Drown was suffocating in a block of dirt, it turned into a Zombie or Husk even, and the block of dirt turned into mud. And then I guess die? Idrk
@@bobisbob3733 there's a quicksand mod that does this I believe
7:18 I live how the arrows carried over 😂 BRILLIANT detail 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I wish u can breed tropical fish. Itd be so cool to just exotic fish farm them.
Zombie gear can sometimes also be enchanted
When you inhabit Taiga, you discover a lot of things, foxes eat your chicken, wabbits eat your carrots, wolves eat your sheep. Its like playing extra hard mode Minecraft :D
You said the Wither doesn't attack undead mobs, but you also said the Zoglin attacks every mob.
Does the Wither actually fight the Zoglins or not?
If the zoglin attacked the wither it probably would fight the zoglin but unprovoked I don't think it would.
no, the wither doesnt attack undead mobs and for some reason undead mobs can't hurt the wither (the zoglins do try to attack the wither but they do nothing)
@@IllagerRaids strange interaction... but interesting to know.
I always love and enjoy the videos you make!
5:06 Since ghast tears allow for health potions and reviving the ender dragon, huge stretch but what if theres a connection to the aspects of life and death with the ghast and wither?
If you come across a zombie that has items be it a tool or armour, if you get the zombie into 2 block deep water ince it turns into a drowned all the items it held and arnour worn gets dropped.
Im not sure if its a 100% chance for the zombie to drop its items but ive got some decent enhanted items very early on just by luring zombies to water
That used to be the case, but they changed it, much to my chagrin.
Great video! The more you know! Such a great game
Interesting fact about zoglins, durring a single snapshot they were attacking armour stands as well
The skeleton you showed was actually right handed. Right handed people hold the bow with their left hand and pull the string with their right hand. Same hand positions when holding a gun
6:00 it bugs me that irl right-handed ppl (and, presumably, skeletons) hold bows in their left hands and vice versa
Im sure people already answered but the charged creeper thing happens because the charged texture is applied as an armor layer and invisibility doesnt affect armors
Believe it or not while speaking of bows, that skeleton is actually right handed. Holding the bow with your left hand and pulling the string with your right hand is right handed. Reverse that and it would be left handed. Also considering steve (or the minecraft player) holds the bow natrually in the right hand and pulls the string with the left (assuming they do considering the bow stays on the right side) that'd also make them left handed. Minecraft is strange.
im your biggest fan
Thanks!
You're always teaching me something. Thank you
Especially when you’ve played the game for like a decade, it’s cool to be reminded of these small features, but it’s even better to stumble across a feature on ur own yk. Nothing like it ! Good vid tho 🎃
Nice video 👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
Thanks for the video
a week ago I was playing my kinecraft origins world in a snowy biome, and it was nighttime the previous night and I found a structure, so I went to it and I learned that skeletons convert into strays the hard way (I survived but the slowness arrows were slightly annoying)
I think Notch said one time that ghasts were the ghosts of cats, which is where they get their sound effects from (this was before cats were even in the game). I always thought of them as undead creatures anyway.
I love how the skeleton is right handed lol. I’m assuming you were trying to say “Theirs a chance the bow spawns in the left or right hand”
Your the best!! Plus I just enjoy watching your work!!
EPIC
overworld slimes also don't pathfind, and I heard that some mobs don't attack ghasts even if hurt by a ghast
Remember when tropical fish was named clown fish?
I had no idea about the zombie seige... but it explains why a dozen zombies suddenly killed me in a village last night
10:10 video honestly didn’t know a lot of these and have been playing since 2013
I was under the impression snow golems become neutral and won't attack hostile mobs if you remove the pumpkin. Is that not the case?
no?
If Mojang would add a dirt stair block, the rabbits could "burrow" underneath the dirt blocks and give them a hopper programming where it pulls the carrots from beneath the dirt block. Multi-purpose block AND a slight mini game having to chase down bunnies underneath your farm.
Only one I didn’t know was the rabbit thing. Cool
The charged creeper's glow effect is in the creeper's armour, so it doesn't go invisible.
I actually never knew that you could take off the snowman's pumpkin
You know i been playing minecraft for 6 years but your vids are interesting to see and there good 🙂
The wither ignores the ghast because when they fight they just rip the nether apart. They have the accuracy of stormtroopers
If a husk or zombie has armor or an item equipped it might drop it no damage once it converts
relaxing as hell
