What an amazing video! I just watched another video of the same wreck but with divers bouncing all over the wreck and touching it. So frustrating to watch! It's good to see good divers enjoying such a great wreck and treating it with respect.
it is approx 26 mtrs - advanced divers only but well worth doing your advanced course for - I will never forget diving in and around it - hope to do it again this year but I doubt I could get a video as clear as this.
i only ever did a pool dive, im impressed by your slow relaxed breathing, lovely video and in such clear water. pity those bikes are too rusted to restore.. but what a trip , well done
My gawd guys the clarity of your filming underwater is phenomenal looks like you're filming on land and you're not playing some sappy background music either it's my first time watching one of your videos and I am impressed thank you very much you have a new subscriber cheers guys
Um visual incrível , uma música maravilhosa , com essa voz suave , chega a se sentir na alma . Muito obrigado pela publicação e um abraço forte aqui do Brasil .
There were two Ex LMS 8F's aboard SS Thistlegorm when she was bombed and sank, Surprisingly there were a total of 23 lost at sea during WWII and apart from being an excellent Heavy freight locomotive on Great Britain's railways system they were sold onto several other countries and can still turn up in the oddest places though only a few were eventually preserved out of the 852 produced and even fewer remain in steam sadly. A really nice locomotive to drive.
A very well done vid! I appreciated how the music went along very well with the sights. Again well done. Rhonda Oh and it makes me wanna go diving too. sigh
Wow...so cool looking! Love seeing the motorbikes, tanks, cars, locomotive cars and awesome vehicles just sitting there all this time where they landed at the bottom. What is the wheeled thing at 2:30 just after the bikes? Anyone? Great cinematography!
luke fitting well, you can do something for them.. like.. dive in, grab'em, pull'em up the shore and fix them.. or, you can drink safely at home in the name of "sunken items like bikes and such" :D. I don't know what you chose.. I already made my choice and it's the number two.. yes.. i'm lazy
Beautiful. We dived it 2019 August in not such stellar conditions. It's amazing what 9 years has done to the wreck. Your images are crystal. I can see you used a canon 5 d and a red filter judging by the torch lights being red. Did you use any other light source or does the camera just do fantastic in low light with a fast wide lens? I shot with a gopro (Apples and pears), my red filter was a mistake, it made post very difficult and my image not as detailed
I have put some thought into recovery of some of these things, but I would think by the time you got to the surface with that bike the only thing you would have is the rubber tier..
notice how the rubber on the tires of them bikes seems to be in much better condition than the metal, does this show how rubber takes longer to degrade naturally?
And corals can not grow on rubber and ceramics. Thats why tires seem to be so clean. But if you'll try to move this rubber on the surface, on the air it decompose quickly right in your hands.
+Marlene Mohan The THistlegorn was carrying two LMS Stanier Class 8F Locomotives on her when she was attacked in 1941in Alexandria by Luftwaffe He-111's. The bombers hit some of her onboard ammunition, and the resulting explosion blew the two locomotives overboard but left the tenders still lashed to the deck.
They did, it was near the wreck, and...predictably not in a very good condition since it had been literally exploded by an ammo detonation. You can find images of it on google by putting in "THistlegorm locomotive"
AINGELPROJECT667 Dang. I just looked up the image, and I gotta say, the locomotive has gone through a LOT of stuff. the damage looks much worse than those two 1850's locomotives found underwater. That's pretty sad.
This wreck makes a lot more money by just laying there, than it would do salvaged. There's a HUGE amount of people coming to Egypt just because of this wreck. And all of them leaves a good bit of money. Year after year, after year, after year...
Those motorcycles at 2:11 look like Harley's because of the primary case I can tell that the motor is a flat head do you know what kind of motorcycles they are if it's an American ship that sunk they're definitely Harleys but if it's a Japanese ship they're not Harleys they might be some type of BSA?????????
It was a British ship waiting to go through the Suez Canal to go into the Med. Sunk by German planes looking for the Queen Elizabeth that went through about an hour or two before. Bsa bikes on Bedford trucks.
@@kevinbarry9485 Thanks Kevin I really appreciate the reply and answer I know that nothing is allowed to be taken off the ship but those bikes would make a great lawn ornament LOL once again Kevin thanks
@@kevinbarry9485 I have pre unit bike engine it's been a yard ornament for years it even used to belong to one of the old Bounty Hunter club members everybody's been guessing to what it is like what make what year I don't even know I'd like to take a picture of it and show you see what you think LOL
Great video. Dived the Thistlegorm about 20 times in the last 15 years and that video neatly captures its melancholy beauty.
Those motorcycles.. wow! Amazing footage.
What an amazing video!

Fantastic colorimetry, very nice video. Have set the white balance to the the sand or the blue or do you use a white board to set it.
Это лучшее видео о Тисельгорме. Best.
Amazing colors! would you mind sharing on which system/housing this was shot? thanks
2:28 can I have one of the bikes ;)
makes me excited and depressed at the same time seeing these vehicles rot at the bottom of the sea when nothing can be done for them

The pressure of the air in your lungs is equal to the water pressure. That is the function of the regulator.
I was there in 92, awesome place
Welcome to Egypt, the land of security and safety, good deeds, heritage and history .....

Absolutely breathtaking shots and clarity! What are you using to film this with? (I see the answer but its not in English). Greetings from Vancouver!
4:00 That's clearly the tender from a Stanier 8f.
.
Splop10 Yes
The ship was a British merchant ship and sunk by 2 HE-111's in the Red Sea. Taken from Wikipedia.
i wonder how long it will take till nothing is left of the wreck. 500 years?
Simplemente genial!!!

patrick lavers That Is A Stanier Tender And The Locomotives(Thislegorm Was Pulling 2 Stainer 8F Locomotives)Are In

In the era of virtual & augmented realities it seems so alien...

+AINGELPROJECT667 Did they ever find the locomotives, or any remains of them?

why dont they salvage as must as possible i think its just daft leaving everything to rot away
